October 9, 200619 yr For those with antique systems like mine, I got no lag so far in close servers like EA CANADA showing server ping 70 and my ping in game 70.
October 9, 200619 yr Maybe I should resurrect a PC133 system, put a good videocard in it and test it out. Then again. I dont think beating my head up against the wall is any fun.
October 9, 200619 yr Hogan. With your system. You might be able to get away with a better videocard. An ATI 9800Pro or a X700 AGP will do better than the 9600XT. You dont want to get too good of a card b/c the card will be starved for info from the CPU/Memory interface. http://www.crucial.com/store/refurb.asp They have 9800Pro's for $72 USA shipped. Not sure what that works out for Canadian. They ship to Canada too.
October 10, 200619 yr I only get about 35 to 40 FPS with my 2.4 and X800XT vid card. I just have to laugh at you.
October 10, 200619 yr I just have to laugh at you. OK I guess it will make up for the 3 years I laughed at you.
October 10, 200619 yr Author Thats great prolly not running XP, WIN 98se was the best yet. Actually, WinXpPro has performed better then when I was using win98se with almost same system using older 1.3 cpu. Maybe I should resurrect a PC133 system, put a good videocard in it and test it out. Then again. I dont think beating my head up against the wall is any fun. LOL. It is possible, with 1 or more gbs ram, lots of free ram (memturbo used before strating game), few services running, good net speed and server speed. But as BF2 was for us, likely only in under 80-90 ping servers with only up to around 24 total players. Which is all I've found so far. Forget 64 player games. 32 maybe if good pings from all. Hogan. I especially liked the system scan at their http://www.crucial.com which showed my mobo speed , ram type and speed, etc ... suggested more ram and faster available agp4x video card liek you said. But I am having trouble affording current debt load so have to do best with what I have for now.
October 10, 200619 yr Hogan, I have some pc133 ram laying around. Do you need some? I think I have 1 or 2 256mb, and 1 128mb. If it helps you any. It would be free of course.

October 13, 200619 yr Author I keep trying to edit my last post but it won't go. I think they are 168 pin dimms.
October 13, 200619 yr He has 1 gig of ram and thats probably the max he can use. I keep trying to edit my last post but it won't go. I think they are 168 pin dimms. Well, let me know if you have an open slot or not. Then it would be whether the memory I have is compatible with yours, especially if you already have 1 gb. Mac says you have 1gb already, if thats so you probably dont need another 256mb, but I will send it to you if you want. Let me know what you decide.

Send away if it's non-parity 168 pin pc-133 dimm ... I'll pm you my address. I just noticed my words weren't clear on the 1gb I mentioned. I meant it will take up to that in each old slot. Scan showed it capable of up to 3gb total for 3 slots. 1 free slot for 168 pin non-parity pc-133 dimm.
