Posted October 11, 200619 yr Today, I went to FutureShop to preorder my 2142. I had never preordered anything so I asked the girl there what to do and she took me over and had me sign up for a layaway. OK then I went to pay for the game ahead of time and I did but got no conformation code. After that I asked her where do I get this code to enter on the net. She didn't know so we asked another guy working there and he showed me on the shelf where there was a box with the 64 meg flash drive and the code inside. He said "YOU ARE THE FIRST ONE TO PREORDER THIS GAME". I couldn't believe it but anway the problem was they were now asking 10 dollars for the Flash/weapon upgrade. LOL. I got it for free so if you encounter this you better ask first and don't just pay for it.

October 11, 200619 yr Author Don't get too excited though because it says bonus content on the flash drive. All it has is screenshots, wallpaper and a trailer for Tiberium Sun C&C3 and some other game crysis. probably nothing you can't find on the net.

But look at it this way, you can delete all that stuff and have a 64 meg flash drive to use.

On the release date you bring in your receipt and pay for the remainder of the game. This is how Best Buy does it. I guess other places are different. This was also my first time pre-ordering a game.

You may try the other Best Buys here. That is if you are still in OKC. By the way, you may want to make sure they are looking in the right spot. These boxes were on an endcap.

Sorry Klink I was going to get it right away but was busy getting my new pc up and running so I just didn't have a chance to pre-order the game. But I'm hoping to go later today and pre-order and get the 64mb drive.

After that it will be $59.99. Remember this is in canadian money.

October 14, 200619 yr Stupid Futureshop was selling those kits without preorders so they sold out of few they had. EbGames said they only had one and gone. Since few kits and games seem to have been ordered, I decided to get my rank or gun bonus online and downloaded 2142 full in 3 hrs.
