Sorry about the title but I am VERY mad. Those stupid pop-ups come up, and I try to close it, but it closes my ENTIRE I.E. BROWSERS. I was downloading the PlanetSide 7 Day Trial? Takes at least 2 hours with 150kb/s. So I lose this and I am 20% done. Well, thats my Internet Explorer flame.

They are VERY ANNOYING. Especially when no-one even listens to them.

 

I got one that installed something called "Naughty strip-player". I got pretty mad because 1: Installing anything on my computer without me saying so? Not good. 2: I don't need that stuff everywhere I go. I don't want it on my computer. At all. I deleted it with alot of screaming at the computer and clicking furiously.

why not download a popup stopper? a lot of them are free (look in dloads section of www.pcworld.com) and some of them you pay a little.

I have a pop-up stopper, and it works but it is delayed a bit.

i dont really like that pop up stopper thing, it makes some sites dont work, its really weird. for some freakin reason like once a month on this comp it automatically dl some program called live girls, anyways, i got rid of the pop up stopper thingy thing. its evile.

hehe... ppl complain too much, just get em before they have a chance to load the page, then the next one wont pop up off it... I'm the pop-up killer master, I don't need a program when I can do it better.Plus I don't donwload much and keep Kazaa or other programs closed most of the time, and I also make it so that tons of programs aren't running in the background... they can pop stuff up too.If you close a IE window, and it closes all others, then there is a problem with your computer...

I always get them while im playing. Which means i lose sound or whatever. So annoying.A lot of pop up stoppers suck. They either dont work, or the screw with my comp.

Go to download.com do a seach for "search and destroy spybot remover" or something like that. Then download the updates for it kinda like the nortons liveupdate thing. They have new updates for it all the time. Scan your system..........then use the immunize (spelling?) button and block all bad programs(key loggers) this should take care of your problem after you get all the spyware/adware crap off you computer.

 

I use this a lot and it works well! Marshal had the same problem and this is what fixed him.

Shadow I think his is more like pop ads the appear for no reason even when not surfing or when going to a page even though that page may not have popups. Right?

ok, like shadow said, if what I descrive is what's happening, pm me, and I'll give you instructions on how to fix it, which only works with xp so far that I've tested

 

are they like popups, more like instant messages, even when your browser is closed? advertising morgages, "manhood" enlargement, etc?

yeah, find a spyware remover programmer and a pop up stopper, i have both (2 pop up stoppers also) and i dont get popups anymore. I know what you were talkin about when you werent searchin the net and they pop up, very annoying, the spyware remover gets rid of the (i think). But oh well, you can just PM kami. :shock:

I have many problems on this computer. 1. Closing a pop-up will close all windows at times. 2. My CD Burner does not burn.3. My CD Drive doesn't read CD's.4. Every time I play a new game un-related to FA, the mouse is laggy (I move mymouse, then a second later the screen moves. Vey annoying)
