December 22, 200618 yr Author Well i started d\l it last night but i'm d/ling it again right now and will give my impressions on it. I know me and gator were talking about it one late night in vent and he seemed excited about it so i thought i'd share the good news and see what people though. I never owned flashpoint when it was out but i did try the demo and liked it for it's realism. I think it'll just be the same but with alot of new things and an improved engine for the graphics.
December 23, 200618 yr It's crap. Nuff said. Expound, please -- We'd like to know -why- it's 'crap.' Personally, I've been very excited for this game for a long while, and I've seen gameplay videos, and those just make me more excited. So, I'd like to hear your opinion on why it's crap.. and not just "it's crap." x_x;
December 23, 200618 yr I just finished downloading this and reality mod. From what i've heard this game has a lot of realism, if it wasn't for the lag it would be a great game. It does have a lot of potential. I'm installing it now.

December 23, 200618 yr Talk to me later and we can find a server for PRMM. I can't wait to be your squad leader. >) Once I find my bf2 disks.. They have to be around here somewhere.
January 2, 200718 yr I'm sure ArmA has potential but I couldn't play it for long. Between the cumbersome handling of my soldier and horrible FPS, I can't see myself playing anything except for the demo. In fact, I've already deleted the demo. Too bad too.
February 3, 200718 yr Okay, whoa, I just have to bump this... Last night, I did some ArmA tweaking; I've got to say, this game blows me away. BF2 on all high comes NOWHERE close to the graphics of this game: IT HAS HDR! The clunky handling of your soldier dissolves after about an hour of play, you become used to how to handle the gun, look around, et cetera. I've got to say, this is the most... immersive game I've ever played. I actually got lost. LOST! Behind enemy lines, no less. The only things that helped me get out? My compass, my map, my M4, and a whole lot of crawling. Urban combat is honestly just plain scary. The first time I heard a sniper shot ring off next to me, I sprinted back to the spawn. (For the record, those SVDs are LOUD!!) Certain things could be fixed, no doubt; BTRs take you out with a hail of bullets, not anti-personnel rounds. Aiming could be made considerably easier. Physics could be improved a bit. I'll just say this -- It's 100% worth checking into, and after playing the demo, deleting it, playing it again... I'm buying it, no doubt. It was a very scary experience playing pointman when clearing a building, you just don't get that with other games. Do yourself a favor and look into ArmA! ;;;
February 3, 200718 yr Several of us VSFers enjoy the game aswell. Check out our forums if you ever want to play coop online.
