I just had a thought. Maybe it already exists, maybe there is no interest. But, I thought maybe we could start a thread concerning game tips. I thought that if people just posted a game tip they feel would help everyone (particularly new players!) we could post it. If everyone just posted an idea or two I think we might all learn from each other. I am sure there would be some posts that would be "obvious", but you never know. I know I can use all the hints and tips I can get! Here's my humble contribution...

 

When placing APMs, locate them where an opponent cannot see them (such as around a corner from where they might approach, vs. right in plain view. I have seen APMs disarmed when, if placed better, might have gone unnoticed until too late! This one is probably easy, but maybe someone will benefit... Gotta try, yes? Zen

I don't think I have ever had anyone disarm one of my APMs. They go off all over like fireworks. Good tip though.

On titan mode, put a claymore right next to the two wholes where players can drop down into the upper part of the enemy titan. Where people usually have c4 or a sentry drone waiting. It always gets them and people rarely see them.

i like sharps another place for mines on the titan are right outside 3-4 tunnels faceing out so you can get the people stacking up for the core room.

To prevent APMs from blowing up, make a habit of crouching before going around corners. Crouching and going prone stops the AMPs from detonating.

why roll as a medic if you won't revive.............its the same amount of points as a kill and the more you revive the less your tickets go down....

I find placing APM mines where nobody expects them to be. For instance heavy traffic areas. but non crucial areas. Always gets people. Smart players are learning to crouch near crucial areas. but nobody thinks to crouch around every corner.

Shrubbery is the most underused weapon in the game.

 

Yes I'm serious. Ever hide an APM, EMP/Motion Mine, or sentry gun in a shrub before? Try it, you'll be suprised how well it works. :thumbsup:

Even if you do crouch towards an APM mine, some teammate is going to think your being too slow and will run up in front of you detonating the clay and getting the both of ya killed. It's happened to me far too many times :thumbsup:

Here's a favorite of mine: If you're on a server where Friendly Fire is set to ON, and you see someone putting 3 demopacks on a core console, DON'T stay in the room firing your pistol at the console trying to destroy it. And if you continue to stand there whilest everyone else is running from the room, DON'T choose to punish for the TK when you perish. I was clearing all four consoles with a squad the other night, being resupplied after each; one putz NOT in the squad always would run in the room and not leave after the packs were placed. Each and every one would then punish, despite being told to "go, go, go" half a dozen times. :thumbsup:
