January 17, 200719 yr 1) Have you tried to connect "direct" with the use of the routers? 2) What kind of router (model and hardware version) 3) Have you tried to reset the router by hitting the reset button in the back?

January 17, 200719 yr Anytime a router gives you a problem. Shut down the modem and shut down the router. Power up the modem first and then the Router. From time to time the ISP sends new connamds and such to the modem which "confuses" the router and it's IP addresses. Also as in any computer like device. They work best when rebooted every now and then. The Firmware as well as the port suggestions would be the next step to whoever needs diagnostic help in the future.
January 20, 200719 yr More the time, it's the modem who is "crashed": update from provider... I have put the router and modem on the same connector pluger rack: when I do to reset them, I only remove the connector from the rack and reconnect it after 10 or 15 seconds who reset the both together... It's not neccessairy to shut down the computer(s) when you do to reset modem and router: the ip adress will be restored immediatly after the connection again to the provider. Egidio.
