Battlefield 2142 Booster Pack: Northern Strike

Someone asked for a poll on who is doing what with the upcoming booster for BF2142.
Not going to get it already a brigadier general and don't play that much anymore. When it comes out and i hear some good things about it then i may get it. I wasn't overall impressed with the BF2 boosters

If it was a full Expansion pack, I might think of buying it. Expansion packs typically come with plenty of maps like "Special Forces" was to BF2. You could run a dedicated server, and everyone would play it.

The problem with a booster pack is that a server running vanilla BF2142 maps would lose all the players (who do not have the pack) on a map change.

-I thought a poll would help to gauge clan interest.

 ;) :lies: -If TAC likes it and uses it on their server (after most people buy it) then I will get it...otherwise no.

I don't see us running any of the maps, its a total server killer. When we tried to run armored fury maps alongside regular bf2 maps, half the server was cut when it switched to the booster map. I don't see myself wasting money on 10 items I can use in regular bf2142, if enough people buy it then maybe I will consider it. They are supposed to officially release details on it tomorrow, but until then
If its 10 bucks I'll get it as soon as it comes out. Some new maps and new guns and vehicles is worth the fling!

Ya got that right, Im getting it to it's about time they put out something
If you read part of the product description it states "exciting new fixes to previous bugs", the time has finally come when they are charging for a patch.

I think I read on that posted thread from the EA guy that bug fixes will continue to come out.

My guess is that if it's a major bug change which affects gameplay, they are putting it in the booster?

Dunno, but I'm with Sharp on what for more details. Although, I'll probably still get it just for some extra flavor in my gameplaying.

Like I said, if you remember Armored Fury, you wouldn't even bother buying this. Everyone played it for a week, and no one played it after that. Biggest waste of money, on my part. EA made out like a bandit on it. We should quit giving them our money until they can come out with something that doesn't have a ton of patches/ bugs in it. I am boycotting it!!!!!
i dont know, 2142 is getting boring fast like other booster packs in bf2 they stunk. played them for a week and after that, they took up space on my hdd. now if it was an expansion pack like SF. then i might get it.

Ive never played Euro forces or armored fury.

But lot of times,i feel like i would like my grapple to climg some walls.Donno, but SF was great,a great ADDITION of gameplay to the BF2 game.

I ve just started to play 2142,because the BF2 game was not setted after 1 year of patching:i wont buy a sequel they built while the previous doent work properly.

Ea seems have done a good job on 2142,few little annoying bugs, but the game is fun and playable.

Sure theyre after our money, but like Euro and Armored,if they dont come with new ideas like ibn SF,people wont buy their stuff:gamers know EA behavior now.

I did spend my money on the armored furry, and euroforces addons. I only ever played bf2 offline. So they did give me some entertainment. I did however become dissapointed with them after a short while.

I will wait to hear other's opinions. 2142 is no fun to play offline so it probably won't be worth it. :lies: ;) Let me know.
