i've just installed it, looking forward to the game

I'm in favor of a vanilla BF2 server. I'm pretty much bored with Special Forces.

Anything based off of Bf2 would be fine, don't really care if it's SF or vanilla. SF is pretty fun though.

Mix it up. A little vanilla and a little SF. Either way you can't go wrong. The problem will be to populate it like our 2142 servers.

It wouldn't be a problem if we left it up and people realized it's there again. I remember when the Armory SF server was completely full most of the time. If we left it up and maybe made public notices of it we could get it populated fairly well.

No matter which game we do end up picking, the most important thing we will need to have in order for this to work out is commitment. It will take at least a full week of us sitting on the server to build back a player base, once we get that back we should be good to go.

I'll do my part to get the word going and when my psu gets here i'll help seed if need be.

I'm sure we can throw in some more, possibly a night map if people don't mind, as these tend to be the most commonly played maps.

What about one of the SEAL vs MEC SF maps, which would be Leviathan, Devil's Perch or Iron Gator? Of these, Iron Gator seems to be the most popular. Or, perhaps after the server is better established, be bold and try including all eight maps?

Speaking of which...is there a way to slow down the spawn time of the helicopters? When I was on the server it seemed chopper after chopper kept base rapping us.

I agree with ya on that one. I would LOVE to see Devil's Perch, Leviathan, or Iron Gator back in the rotation. I would perfer Devil's Perch over Leviathan and Iron Gator, but either or would work great.

I like Devil's Perch the best of the three maps as well...I suggested Iron Gator because it appears to be the most popular of the three SEAL/MEC SF maps judging by the number of servers running it (with some being 24/7 Iron Gator).
