Can you play regular and beta. Or do you have to get rid of beta first?

I assume your talking about 2142, when you installed the beta you had to make a copy of the Battlefield 2142 folder in your program files. If you did so, just rename the current one to 2142 beta and then the original back to Battlefield 2142. If you didn't, then no you can't play both. You will need to reinstall the game.
