New patch

Featured Replies

I went and patched my computer to the latest and greatest only to find out that EA/Dice had not yet released the server version but in beta. Is the updated server version going to come out soon? How do you remove a patch? I guess I should have waited but I have never had this problem before.
you can't remove the patch, you'd have to uninstall then reinstall and use the current patch. If you ever try beta patches in the future make a back up of the current one and rename it.
hmm...'Gado was having issues with our server...maybe that was the problem...

No problem with our servers ...they are fine

You need to reinstall the game, you can't unpatch.

You can't uninstall what has not been installed. Most people install the BF2 1.41 patch thinking it's the new BF2142 patch, so i think this may be the case in this situation. :p
Phew i got scared for a second that EA released it while i was away :p

i think he installed the 1.4 beta patch is what he was saying

I did not know it was a beta patch. It did not say "Beta". I guess I need to pay more attention because I would never put a beta patch on my computer. Oh well it gives me something to do..........

I just finished deleting and reinstalling BF2142. I looked at the patch file and it does not have the word beta in the name. BF2142_Incremental_Update_1.25_-_1.40 Can you see where I could think that is a live patch??? I will wait in the future for Gator or other Armory person to say the patch is out.

What you should do is just log onto the game and try and join a server

i can't remember exactly what it does but it'll probably say something along the lines of you have the wrong version of the game.

Don't feel bad, we all make mistakes :p

But yes, I can easily see where you may have been mixed up

The latest BF2142 version is 1.25. You can download the patch here.
the beta patch does work the only thing new is the highway tampa map for 2142 i've played on the armory with the beta patch and i had no problems.
I would try it out but i don't wnat to use the shotgun on an enormous map and I'd have to reinstall in order to go back to the regular game
the beta is the same as the full patch so u wouldn't have to go back

My complaint was that the beta looked like a regular patch. All of the beta patches in the past have said beta in the name. Also the description of the patch contents did not say beta either. Oh well, I am back to 1.25 with NS on both my computers.

Well one good thing came out of my mistake....I am now back to playing BF2 and doing well. I still hate the invincible helicopters but even played as commander when no one else wanted the job.
