Posted August 7, 200718 yr This is my buell. I decided to go with this because I didn't want something everyone else had. Like gxsr, cbr, ninja, katana, or any other foreign bike really. The only bike that I really want that is foreign is the gxsr 1300. Which is the Suzuki Hayabusa. The buell however, is a bike I don't see much around in my area. I like the way it looks and definately the way it sounds!!! /monthly_06_2011/post-802-130810199508_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-802-130810199515_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-802-130810199528_thumb.jpg
August 7, 200718 yr thats really really nice, i like the gold/black paint thing it has going on. question though, do you find those (crotch rockets) to be comfortable? i like the look more than the harleys or choppers, but i've heard theyre very very uncomfortable on the groin. whats your opinion?
August 7, 200718 yr Author Depends which ones you get. I don't find it to hurt the groin area at all. I've put about 200 miles one day and I had no real discomfort besides my butt going numb. So I figured I could live with that. I'm thinking about getting the peg extenders, and then the intergrated tail lights. The pegs would extend the foot rest 1" down, but then I would have to adjust everything else. So now sure, besides I would like to see how it felt before I got those anyway.
August 7, 200718 yr i have never heard of that brand, but it looks like i am going to have to start doing some research in to it, looks very nice! very unique styling as well, it looks pretty light, does the front wheel lift up a bit when you full throttle on first gear?
August 7, 200718 yr How Fast have you gotten it up to now? My friends Ninja hit around 120 but that was on a not so straight road.
August 7, 200718 yr man, that thing looks so small on you.But pretty cool :o he's not compensating for anything, kinda like ding with his .50 cal sniper
August 7, 200718 yr Buell's are cool Great choice. Just stay a live. I work with a guy that does bike stunts and has a mod shop. He has lots of scars to prove it. Last year he did like 5 laps around Daytona speed bike week pulling a wheelie. At 100+ mind you. I'll see if I can find links of it.
August 7, 200718 yr Yeah motorcycles are *incredibly* dangerous. if you get in an accident your chances of death are really high. I've had a relative die in motorcycle accidents and another shattered two legs and his pelvis and has to use a cane now. He's in his 30's walking around with a cane moving the speed of an 80 year old man with a walker... My relative hit a patch of sand on the road, the bike spun out and he went flying on the road at 65 miles an hour, the cars couldn't really stop in time... I didn't really know him though, he was like a distant cousin or something. I knew somebody though whose uncle was going 50 on city streets when he lost control and went flying through the air. he was horizontal in respect to the ground when he hit a light pole around his waist area. He was cut in half My dad has a patient (this one didn't die lol ) who hit the back of a stopped car while giong pretty fast and he went flying through the air. He flipped over the handle bars and started going back first through the air, with his feet upwards and head towards the ground. He hit a brick building, went through the brick, through the wall, through the other wall on the other side of the room and ended up in a closet the next room over. He was knocked out but didn't break any bones . Good thing he was wearing a helmet
August 7, 200718 yr Be careful there Phrogg. Wear your helmet and leathers all the time! Motorcycles are very fun, no speeding required!
August 7, 200718 yr Thats a mini bike. Sort of what Mini Me would ride. LOL Just for kickers. Are you going to tow the trailor with the bike?
August 7, 200718 yr I'm looking to get the Harley Vrscd night rod in october. this is a nice bike to just cruise and fast enough to catch the rice burners... /monthly_06_2011/post-1393-130810199811_thumb.jpg
August 7, 200718 yr Author This bike is 1203 ccs. So it does have some get up and go if you want to. I don't really do that often though. I just like to cruise. I need to get new seats for it though for sure. Specially the passenger seat. My girl doesn't like to ride long distances on it. I guess there isn't enough padding or something?!?!?!?
August 8, 200718 yr Author Yea, I wanted to give it a bath first although it doesn't look like it in the pics...... Damn bugs are hard to get off!
