I've been going through reinstalling all my HL mods after my computer crashed, but I'm having a problem with the controls.First, it will not let me change any buttons dealing with movement from inside half-life. I have to open the config file and edit in notepad. If I try to change it in HL, it beeps like it took it, but it does not change! Any of the other controls like jump or croutch change fine, just the movement ones.So, I change it in notepad, and join a game. I'm moving VERY slow. Half-life and DOD are the exceptions to this problem. When I hit foward or any other movement key, it beeps like I'm hitting the 'use' button, and I move IMPOSSIBLY SLOW. If I hit any other key while moveing in slowmotion, it jumps to normal speed, till I let go or hit another button.It's hard to explain....hope you can make sense of that.

Sounds like some corupt files , I would suggest removeing all of the game and and redownloading it ,or you can try to find the corrupt files and replace them, what ever is easier for you :wink:

i suggest either deleteing or renameing the messed up configs starting the game so it writes brand new default ones and then editing them again and seeing if that takes... ive noticed that if you play on some servers they mess up your config file so i have mine set to read only so it cannot be changed..

I have the exact same problem, like when you go bind the left arow key to strife the little window dealy moves over and doesnt take the commandruined alot of my mods D:

My son Psy4 had have the same problem "slow motions" when he buy the new graphics card : he must do to desactive the "anti-aliasig" who make slow movements cos the graphics card was very quickly that the HL works !And the config file from the 2.7 is more differents than the 2.65 !Also the command menu are very most differents too....Egidio.
