Lately, everytime I play on armory city maps one team is losing by over a hundred tickets. The losing team is usually getting rooftop camped and spawn camped, as well. It just isn't a game at all.

 

So I guess that's why I'm not going to play there anymore.

that is something that just cant be changed, I mean the game is designed for one team to lose and one to win thats just the way it is. Maybe try geting on the wining team other than that dont know any other way of fixing it.

Same problem for me too. People find that winning is fun and completely owning the noobs is all good times. I go on the losing team usually unless I cant get on because its full. I cant stand coming from all over surrounding someone because I never get kills. The game gets turned into who has the best spot with the best aim which isnt something I'm good at. Obviously this server is not the only server with this problem. Ill sleep on how to fix it.

believe me this is a good server.... I have untold playing hours surfing servers and I can tell you some storys .naaaaaa I won t

 

lets just say there are some servers where the people that run them are abusive and intensionally stack the teams ........forcing team switching making one team all experienced players and the others kids and newbies and noobs ..having a regular policy of attacking the base and camping it.

 

Having an admin with team speak on the other team telling the enemy commander if 1 of their team gets through.

 

some servers get off on screwing with people ..... this isnt one of them

 

AND yes its part of the game just deal with it

or do like I do surf to another server until you find one thats balanced that you can have fun on NO server is always fun!

When (=A=) members are on we try to balance out the server skill wise sometimes it works sometimes is doesn't. You will actually find that on any 2142 server. I feel your pain, I get angry when ppl are not team playing. Usually when lots of armory guys are on we change teams to make things as fair as possible, it's a shame more people don't follow our lead.

 

I generally play at night and rarely see a lopsided victory for more than a round or two, I always switch to the noob team as do most of the late night regulars, if we have to play against each other so be it, I have just as much fun playing against the regulars as I do playing with them, it gets very competitive and intense at times, Armory is still the most consistant server I've found.

 

Maybe we should make getting on the top roofs and spawn camping against the rules? It would help prevent lopsided victories and it would force people to team play.

Usually that happens on Fall of Berlin, somehow that map keeps finding it's way back on to the server.

I've noticed that too,but honestly what FPS game isn't like this?

I've been playing these games on line for many years now and so far i've seen nothing new or out of the ordinary.So thanks for your concerns and speaking your mind is always welcomed.Have a great day

We do our best. You know what they say? You can't please all of the people all of the time. It's not always fun to be on the losing team, I try to get on the losing team to help even things out. With my skills I would do better to even things out by getting on the winning team, lol. :thumbsup: The roof-top thing is unavoidable and cannot be policed fairly. We do however not allow pod surfing, this server is very fair and this is one of the reasons. Try playing on a surfing server, oiy vey.

 

Sorry to hear you are disappointed, hope you find a great new place to play.

It's been like that for years with many games but I find that one day you are on the good side and one day on the bad. It all evens out.

I always join the losing team if it's heavily unbalanced. Unfortunately, I suck, so sometimes I just make the team worse. I have a knack for accidentally eliminating entire squads of my own teammates. It doesn't help that my keyboard and mouse has recently been infected with an evil sentient creature that happens to be better than me (at teamkilling). Also, did I mention how stupid I am? Wow, you woudln't believe it, I can't describe it because I can't wrap my skullmeat around it.

I too have unfortunatley came across some servers that are extremly stacked. I just try to adapt as best as i can. Sometimes it works and sometimes i get pwned hardcore. But like i said your best bet is to adapt and become as good as the person killing you.

I was coming off a night of badly losing rounds when I started this thread. I know there isn't much you guys can do about team-stacking, that you do your best, and that it's one of the better servers in terms of rules and teamplay. I know I'll be back.

 

I agree that Fall of Berlin seems particularly susceptible to things like rooftop camping and other cheapness. It's sad that so many kids value points over teamwork, challenge, and unpredictability.

Berlin is a lot of fun if the other team can break through quickly, if you are in a decent squad and play right you can get back. I have noticed if you play in the afternoon/early evening it's hard to get back, this is because the teams get stacked when a bunch of non regulars are on, good players switch to the better team.

 

Basically if theres a bunch of Armory guys on the game will be fair.

 

Some people (even regulars) will put a beacon right next to the building, they barely pod surf so you can get on the roof. If it's a squad leader he'll destroy the old beacon and put a new one on the roof, this makes it impossible to tell if they cheated or not. Maybe a rule making beacons on the roof illegal would solve the problem?

 

It is hard to police regardless, we need a late night admin badly though. We have an awesome late night crowd and it makes for some great battles, 3:30 this morn the server had 44 people and a few clans had 3-4 people playing. It really sucks when a few people are cheating and no one is on to do anything about it, sometimes people don't care about warnings and will continue to cheat for hours because we can't kick them.
