If this process works where we get more energy than we put in, maybe one day we will be able to run our cars and homes using salt water? Come to think of it, I believe Jaguar or BMW, I forget which german car company made a hydrogen powered car using a modified combustion engine not unlike our gasoline combustion engines used now, so we may be pumping our cars with salt water soon!

I'll be pissed if I see salt water go for more than $1.00 a gallon too.

interesting concept. but it will not work sadly. You go from salt water -> hydrogen, oxygen, and salt -> salt water. Energy in must equal the energy out so you end up with the same amount of energy (including heat loss). still if this is more efficient then electrolysis then this guy may have come up with a better way to manufacture hydrogen. they wont be burning direct salt water for fuel but hopefully this will increase hydrogen power research much further. :D

Not if it properly coated with something just like how soda cans have a coating on the inside to keep the acid of the soda from eating through the can.

My mom uses veggie oil for her car (smells like a BBQ on the freeway lol) and their starting to make laws where its more difficult or you can't use veggie oil for your car. Most people haven't even heard this. Wonder why? :D

Hydrogen power is probably our next step...Hydrogen is already in use in Japan, Mazda is using it in some RX-8's for some fleets over there.
