Halo 3 and Xbox Live Gamertags Info

Featured Replies

I just bought the Xbox 360 yesterday and Halo 3, so I am not sure how to set up clubs, but I figured we can all share our gamertags here and any other information you can share about Halo 3. I set my callsign tag to A07 after Armory 2007, I don't know if that does anything special though.

At first impression of Halo 3, all I can say is wow. It is everything I expected and more. And the Xbox 360 has exceptional graphics for being so cheap. The game controls so well also. I forget that I am holding a controller sometimes.

How does everyone set up their controllers? I find that green thumb is most like old Halo controller setup. I setup the sticks to southpaw too.

If Xbox Live saves gamertags from 3-4 years ago, then mine should still be MURD3R3R. I don't know for sure though. I'll let everyone know by this weekend.

I haven't played multiplayer at all yet. I still need to get a controller for the wife. I just was able to play for just a little over an hour yesterday, but I didn't notice a hint of slowdown. During loading though, there is a bit of stuttering but compared to Halo 1 and 2, it is hardly noticeable. The 360 loads fast.

The graphics have to be seen to really appreciate. I am really impressed. It blows away my computer right now that is for sure. As far as Xbox Live fees, last I was paying I thought it was once a year? Like $50 a year I thought, I don't know yet.

One thing I was noticing is that the Xbox 360 has 3 cores, and it shows because during gameplay or movie play, I can access the dashboard without slowdown or having to load again.

My gamertag is just sharp65. The max amount of people for halo 3 is 16. It's 12 right now, they are just figuring out which servers work best before the up the player numbers.

i have been playing since the day it came out and it is pretty good. I have 100" x 100'' screen that i use so everything is pretty big it is high def 1080i and i think it helps my neighbor plays multi player on a 27'' TV and he gets owned allot. What am trying to say is halo seems to be better all around if you can take advantage of the high def. The server thing is weird you have no control of the maps and the games and some time it takes a while to get into the game. Forge map editor is cool because you can place weapons where ever and if you are with other people you can kill them at the same time which is fun. I don't get the rank system? can anyone help with that???

my gamer tag is ouchdog

so is it cool if i add you guys to my friends list?

Yep, it's fine. Murd3r3r you should know what gamertag your using, it's the name of the profile you sign into when you turn on the xbox :klinked: There is a recover feature though if you want to use an older gamertag from the original xbox.

PC > Consoles... for FPS multiplay.

I'd still never play racing or adventure games on a PC, but FPSs? No way.
