Yep I have 4.7 installed and running I'm just gonna reinstall it and if it happens again i'm just gonna write steam and ask them all these questions I've tried hlsw it trys running HL instead of FA

Ok I've installed steam 1 time It screwed up so I reinstalled it and now 2 things keep happeningWhen I double click on firearms in my thirdparty games it starts it up then i click on servers and it says none to be found so i thought that i would go to favorites and manually enter in the TA server's ip and port numberwell that didnt work and i tried clicking refresh and that still didnt workThe second thing that is really irritating me is that Before I had the above problem I would load into a server and be able to play for like 2 or 3 minutes then it kicks me. This is the second time this has happened to me and it confuses me because right after I install steam and fa i'm able to play the first maybe 1 or 2 times and it will not do this but after that it just loads me in then boots me out to the loading game screenI'm really getting tired of this and am about to start writing complaint emails to steams developers over on the steam forumsthanks for the help

^^^^ did this lots of times and still hasnt asked me for my cd key and now i cant find any servers???

i had autoupdate on cd and it didnt update from 4.6.1 to 4.7 dunno whats up with that

nah it was just the server i found a better place and download accelerator installs spyware from what i've readalso most fileplanet type places dont allow the use of download accelerator because it takes up 7 slots instead of just 1

Ok I've installed steam and have been in game and actually playing for like a 2 hr period one day.But I try it now and It will say preparing to load HL to play FA or something like that. It will try loading FA and then it will just boot me back to desktop.Another thing that keeps hapening is I'll finally get in game and then it will just boot me back to the Join Game, Start Game, Options, Server, Friends menu after being in game for just about 2 minutes.I'm gettin pretty frustrated and its really discouraging me to even try and come back so any help would be greatly greatly appreciatedMystik_MDSPS. I have the updated version of CD and STEAM

I just reentered my cd key and it let me back in so its cool nowI dont know why they couldnt have just let this wait till HL2

Ok so I went to start up firearms today and it said that my half life platinum pack purchase was unacceptable or something like that. It said to check my email for more detailed information. So I closed that window out and tried to start steam up again and it is asking me to re add half-life to "my games" I clicked ok and chose to clean up older files. Then I tried to join the TA server via steam and it starts firearms up but then windows gets ticked off and closes it.Any idea whats up?

Ok got fa + steam installed along with hlsw and cdand now on my desktop (where i saved hlsw and cd) and now i have like 6 files that came from no whereone is wonid.db4.backupanother is ipspaceanother is filteranother is serverlist"" wonid.db4"" serverlist.dat.backupDoes anyone know if i can move these or to which proram they belong?thanks for the help

ok found hl.exe gotta get the game to load now

Ok I installed everything step by step just like the site says at www.fa-thearmory.net/steam.html and now when i try to use HLSW It says cannot find hl.exe or cstrike.exe i've even searched my entire computer and neither are found i chose to copy the directory to the steam directory got any ideas guys

How much harder was it to make the ricochet version work?I've already got the full steam install downloaded (700 megs) and the cs steam install (379 megs) downloadedHow much harder is it to just use the ricochet installThanks for all the help guys i really appreciate thisI dont know why they just didnt leave steam to be for HL2 that way they can just implement it with the game installer What a pain

I'm getting the CS Install which is 379 megs it says its for cs 1.6 but i've only got cs 1.0 should it still work or should i just download the 700 meg one just to be safe?

Small file? big file?Do i need two files or just the one for counterstrike?I had to restart the download from fileplanet after i was done with my wait in line because my girl friend thought the window was a pop up when she was using the computer and she closed it outBAH!!!!!!! :evil:
