Well if anyone is curious, if you do this exploit on our server you will be banned and your ip will be sent to EA for black listing ( perm banning of ip). I posted this as it answers everyone's question on 'how' they did this. Btw klink you went up 2000 points from last night to today... hmm fishy! j/k

CEA is the spanish clan who figured out the exploit to 'adjust' their high scores. This was the letter after their stats have been reset.

Another interesting thread, explains how they got those high scores. ----------------- The reason the number seems so special is because it is FFFF in Hex. That is why the maximum number of rows in excel is 65535, the programers used a 4 bit register to define the row number. So the 10th row would be 000A (in computers memory, hex) or row 65535 is (FFFF). You can do conversions using the calculator on your computer. If this number is maximum for anything dealing with computers, I would gurantee it is because it was written using 4 bit registers. I was skimming through ea forums and came across this, I thought it was interesting to read. -------------- Here is a copy of the letter from CEA clan and their 2 members who now have the #1 and #2 scores at 16 million points and 6 million points. This translation was done by ExecutionerStyle at bf2s.com forums from the CEA clan website in Spain. I say good job CEA! EA screwed with the game and made retarded gameplay changes in the patches instead of fixing bugs. The gameplay changes made the game slow and introduced more garbage. I love BF2 and hate the way EA has screwed up the game with the game play changes in patch 1.2+ as opposed to fixing the bugs. Until they: fix the prone lag crud and the effect it has on medic paddles, etc. fix the jump and shoot so it works again fix the useless nade hurling as opposed to 1.12 nades fix tossing medic and ammo packs so they are useful again fix tossing c4 so it can be tossed on tanks but not as infantry sandwiches fix noob tubes so they don't feel laggy. Never bothered me if a guy suicided me. Big deal. FIX THE RED TAG BUG BF2 is awesome and they ruin it every patch. If we did want to do this for our benefit, we would have been much more subtle, such as not making such a huge points difference. Once again, we are all in the same boat. With this we have demonstrated that rankings are not worth or mean ****. We love this game, but EA 'touches our balls' (literal translation, they're tying to say that EA pisses them off) a lot with their ****** expansions we have to pay for. Personally, we think they're a bunch of crooks, with an intent to charge for everything (Euro Force was a joke, we can't believe they charged for it). That's why we decided that we wanted to show them that they do things wrong. Please, do not hate CEA for this. We don't find ourselves higher than others. We haven't modified the game files or used an external application. We simply found a bug in the game, and have exploited it to show to mock EA. your not reading it right. What they are saying in the red banner is basically that No one Hacked into THEIR SERVER!!!! NOT that the scores are legit! The scores are Hacked, and there are more then 10,000 people cheating in BF2. Firestorm was one of the many cheaters. Someone found out about a hax called MSSecurity.com or net (something like that) Macgyver posted it, when I checked it out at school There were a list of players names saying thanks for the great cheat. it was an autoaim, auto tracker in game mod. alot of people have this mod. Bigdeal a cheater got what was coming. Maybe now he'll actually go outside and see sunlight. Resetting was the best thing EA did for him.

actually EA is crackin down on the 1000 top players. their scores dont match their time played. Lets be realistic firestorm is cracking 400+ points a round, getting 200 is impressive and hard. I dont care how long you been playing, ranking up 400+ points a round is impossible. Also i read somewhere on EA Forums that he's been mishandling his admin powers. Some of us been playing for 600+ hours and even if we multiply by 5 we still won't be higher then his score... Can EA really be concerned about cheaters now? NO WAYY!!!! it only took them 1 1/2 years after the game came out. LOL

I was just playing on moongamers.com reg. BF2 and the rules state in caps no attacking uncappable bases. what does everyone do?? attack uncappable bases. then i look at the score board and look at the ranks. all newbs. From the looks of it a new mess of morons who can't follow server rules are entering the world of BF2. amazing how these whinning lamers are ruining the game from b**ching to EA forums, nerfing just about everything in the game to can't read simple instructions. Guess this shows when no admins are present in a server. ok thought i'd vent a bit instead of taking a wiffle ball bat and smacking it on the neighbors kids skateboarding up and down the street. Then go into Safe mode only 'Not Safe mode with network' then run anti-puper 1st, then Kaspersky Anti-virus. If this doesn't work then you can always do a clean install. Hope this helps.

I had a similar problem with nortin. you didn't have to reinstall xp. go into safe mode and run nortin anti-virus, and anti-spyware. that would of taken care of the problem, then after your system is clean reboot into normal mode.
