it crashes completely straight from game to desktop

ok heres the deal i haven't changed a single thing on my computer ,now in the last week out of nowhere the game has just started crashing to the desktop..FOR NO REASON I'm just playing along minding my business,then next thing im looking at my desktop,very odd considering this just started,i wonder if its the patch but ive been playing fine since it came out i only started having this problem this week......any ideas??

i can remember nothing better than setting up an 8 player multi with all alien bots....i can still hear their screams :o

i had the same problem before and what i had to do is download 1.02,1.03,1.12,1.2 then it worked...somthing strange about it but since i did it i can reinstall as i please with just 1.2

have you got sf....if not maybe the unlocks were incorporated into the patch regardless and somehow you ended up with them

Hey, thanks alot for the kind klink that is my biggest problem with bf2...i load lightening fast but then i spend about 3 hours verifying :cool: but with this info i should be able to speed it up :cool:

thats why they threw in the 2 unlocks,when SF came out it came with 4 new unlocked weapons...but none for sniper and at so i guess people complained and they threw them in with the patch

i was cruisin round today in a helo and actually had a good time...little more skill involved now(ex:dodge,dip,duck,dive and ...dodge)when flying around due to the increased threat of blowin up....all in all though i changed my mind i like it the way it is,will certainly stop alot of basecampers and like you said, it is a lot easier gettin a helo now

thats what i want to do....i bit the bullet buying ati...nvidia is so much better plus it all works together with the mobo....i just dont have 1000 dollars to drop at this point...unless i can find a sucker to buy my old dell for 999.99
