Aircraft Tactics
When attacking ground, go as high as possible and throttle down, this will give You more time to aim - guns first, then as You lift the nose up, let the bombs go. The steeper the angle, the better of course - look at Stuka or Helldiver dive bombers for reference. But then, You have to level earlier. Air to air if targeted: get an obstacle between You and the enemy - if it's stinger, then it's easier - and then rapidly change directions and speeds; rolling helps alot. Releasing the chaff is luck really. If an enemy is in correct (or uncorrect from Your point of view) position, then even chaff will not help. Generally chaff at the last possible moment and then veer. Air to air if attacking: attacking the aircraft is always easier, since they travel at generally the same speed. If You can stick to their behind and wait for their chaff to disappear, then launch the missiles (2-4 for certainty) when traveling at the same direction as the target: if not, the missiles will miss. For choppers, it's more difficult. You have to travel slow, otherwise there won't be enough time to wait for their chaff to disperse. In the meantime feel free to pepper them with lead. If You mess the missile timing on the first pass, then they will regenerate their chaff by the time You turn around for another. Oh yes, if You see the enemy attack choppers doing their weird roll along the longitudinal axis, don't bother with the missile, it will miss nearly 100% of the time (at least i never hit one during this). All in all, practice. Get to the planes before the other basterds do... That's the key...

She's not real
The eyes give 'Her' away. Still not real enough.

I'm totally going to Ireland
HAHA, bad timing, Klif. We just started the rainy season. The good weather finished just 2 days ago. And here not even an umbrella can save You from getting wet, since the rain falls horizontally..... :/ Good luck anyway

Battlefield 3
I just hope they change the engine. Make it AT LEAST support the 16:10 wide screen format.

Musashi invading Korea
I doubt i will actually have the time to go scouting for 'hotties' and 'fun'. Unless You mean the 10-hour plane change in Amsterdam...

Musashi invading Korea
Here i come! Very soon i will be off to South Korea (Gyeongju to be exact) to attend a QD2008 conference (a conference on quantum dots), where i will have chance to show few stupid things about my work. Which means i am going very far away from my current position. Like 9 hours time difference. And i AM very nervous about it all. So nervous, my hands are shaking when i sit in front of piano. Bugger. Wish me luck anyway, if You care.

Hadron Atom Smasher
When i was still at university my lecturers were just finishing the simulations and even some of my friends have written M.Sc theses on this. Our team has even designed the whole detection section - the most crucial of them all if i dare say so. PS. The title is wrong. An atom IS made from hadrons (barions: proton and neutron) anyway, so 'hadron atom' is a tautology.

Been out of touch.
Well, it seems lots of You skipped the chemistry classes... as nobody noticed my mistake. GaSb is gallium ANTIMONIDE, not arsenide... But, well, considering that arsenide actually is unintentionally displacing the antimonide in the lattice matrix (about 75% of it with current technology), one COULD say that this is more GaAs than GaSb dot. So lets just call it Ga(As)Sb. Sorry for slip-up. I was tired and all....

If You only knew what a group next door is working on right now... that is if only i could TELL You..... Miracles, Gator, miracles.... where 1.2GB is laughed upon.

Been out of touch.
Well, i am doing all sorts of things. I've been at it now for 1.5 year now and only TODAY i AT LAST saw my project outline!!! Ain't THAT cute? But more seriously, i am going for the PhD in physics. I hoped it would stay 'applied' (that is experimental) physics, but with new things (growing and simulating) coming i can't call it that anymore. If You'd like to inquire further, then i can give You few keywords. Basically, i am working as of now on growing, experimenting and simulating various behavioral patterns in GaSb (that's gallium arsenide for those, who skipped chemistry classes) type-II (don't ask if You REALLY don't have to) quantum dots (self-explanatory i think) and systems (f.e. a dot inside a well)- a new type of material, that will (hopefully) provide an excellent alternative to existing telecoms devices (transmitters, receivers, amplifiers and such) as they can easily reach (with the right technology) the second telecom window (1.55 micron - wavelength at which the dispersion in air is negligible) and even further into infrared. Well, thats a nice sales-talk i came up with, isn't it?

Been out of touch.
I have been out of touch lately, but i DO have an excuse. So this is an update in case anyone whom i know cares (f.e. BountyHunter -You DO CARE, RIGHT????? ). First of all my studies are going like crap. I have no material and i am trying to squeeze what i have dry. I am scraping the bottom of the barrel and i dont have enough to fill one lousy cup (called an article). So my advisor, based on my performance decided, that: 1) I should go to conference in Korea in may this year and present the crap i have. Or don't have. Yet. This in a long term is a good thing. 2) Experiment and theorize on the matters of crap i have in order to make it before may. This in a long term is a good thing. Above would actually be doable, BUT i also have to: 3) Help a fellow researcher in His project. He's barking mad already because i fail to do anything towards this. This in a long term is also a good thing (not the 'mad' part). 4) I was sold to another group (without any profit for me obviously) to learn and grow some structures. This in a long term is also also a good thing. 5) Today i was also sold to yet another group to learn and perform some calculations. Guess what? Right! This in a long term is a good thing. So a lot of good things are happening around me. Problem is: they are all happening at the same time and demand the same deadlines. I am having a bad feeling, that everyone thinks i am exceptional in everything. Should have told the truth from starters... This is a warning to those of You, who wish to be a PhD student. P.S. I still play games though...

Final exams
Ha. That's easy... I hated series though.... too much number crunching when one had to write out first 10 or so digits of some root.... Oh well, hope You've done well...
