Anyone want to translate? Paladin -> its not a question of rules anymore. We all know them (more or less - ive been out of touch for sime time now). Its their clear interpretation that is probelmatic sometimes, especially, when the one, who guards them, lacks grasp of grammar and/or dictionary of the most commonly used language on the said server. And its not the first time for BtD. Seeing "rectum" as a swear word can only make me laugh. @BtD So S**T is no longer a swear word? I am getting more confused. Using this pattern, one could derive, that "excretions of unsued products of biochemical reaction" IS a swear expression, deserving a 5-day ban (one for every word minus the 'of's).

Another updates. Imperial March updated to 1.10 beta 2 (tweaked the trumpets so the theme is better heard throughout the piece). Also, the new file contains the source sections. Its DEFINATELY worth to download (so one can hear why i DONT ENVY the strings musicians playing this f.e.). Also, the MainThemeFile was updated and now contains a bonus track. I always wanted to hear, how would Main Theme sound if played by pianos (didnt delete the timpani and percussion though - maybe a bad idea). Result Inside (enter pentium logo). Requesting creative criticism.

Faster than light group velocity and non-violation of relativity? That would be the day... I didnt read the APL article (cant from home), but i trust it. I think the author(s) of the article under the link must have misunderstood something. Faster-than-light phase velocity - sure it can go all the way up to infinity, but group velocity? Thats one hell of a black hole. "Slow down" light - sure. I dont know exact numbers, but as light travels though disspersion body one gets effect of light 'slowing down'. Thats the first time i heard someone call BE Condensate as 5th state of matter. I dont think its called that officially. But its definately NOT called a super atom. That title is reserved for quantum dots. Optical memory is cool. If the effect depicted (minus the faster-than-light something) could be controlled in greater extent, then the optical processor is just a handspan away. And thats where my future work lies (not in THE processors, but maybe in their controllers).

...that was a contest on one of the forums. One of the competitions was "The most robotic" as one, with (apparently) fastest accesible and detailed knowledge - i got it mainly for showing off with physics

My brother is the one married here. No Woman would like someone, who sits for five days in front of a computer clicking notes! Either that, or i am so far out, that someone married me in secret.

Imperial March is ready in version 1.00 beta 1. I already see/hear that some tweaking will be required, but not now thats for sure. After this is over, some break will be needed. Five days of constant (~16 hours a day) work has worn me down. I need rest (and i need to finish the two physics projects).

UPDATE: Current versions available are: 1) Star Wars Main Title v. 1.10 beta 2 Changes made: - tweaked the trumpets, so the theme is better heard, - brought up the woodwinds at the end. 2) Star Wars Imperial March v. 0.75 beta 1 Only strings section is missing. Would someone want to hear seperate sections, notify me and i will post them. The sections are: Woodwinds, Brass, Percusion (+ Harp) and Strings.

That wont be neccessary, but thank You, Ifrit. If You could get some other things for me, i would be gratefull though. Anyway, i am re-uploading the file as i write this. Its more or less (more) complete. There is only one file inside (the most important i might add). Would someone like to listen to various sections, i could re-upload them. Oh yeah, comments (especially those negatory) are most appreciated, becouse next on my scope comes THE Imperial March.

The first results are... promising. Anyway, i started this project, becouse i really loved John Williams' creations and i really wanted to see the structure of his' work. In the link there are samples of what i have acomplished so far and that are: woodwind, brass, percussion and harp sections of Star Wars Main Title and first, plain, trial, mix of those. The sections themselves are a subject to change (i have few ideas) and, of course, the mix is plain composition of those with no changes made. But it looks promising enough, that i can tell, that the final mix will be grand. Only thing missing yet is the strings section. This was the work of two days straight from 10am to 2am of the next day with really no brakes at all. Of course, other pieces will follow as soon as i finish this one. Star Wars Main Title
