Oh yes, in case one misunderstood me, i don't have a degree yet. THAT is still ahead (4-7 months). It's just the end of all the lectures in the uni. When i get the degree expect something more than just plain happy post When am i coming? I hope that PhD studies will involve abroad ventures, but US is low on the list.

Mostly THE 'stuff'. It is commonly refered as 'physics'. I grew so fond of studying, that i am planning to study further and further. In about 8 months (more or less) i plan to undertake PhD studies. That's another 4-5 years. Then DSc... then... then... it may never end.

Yes, this is it. The final end. Today i had my last meritorical lecture, last coloqium. After 16.5 years of studying it's finally over. I am free... for at least 8 months (if my plans don't backfire). From today on it's nothing but lab, lab and lab. Meaning lots of work, many mountains to level, many people to kill etc... ... ... ... ... Maybe in a few months i will be back playing on TA server. For that i need a new computer first (for which i am diligently saving).

I'm all for FN-FAL.

I hope FA2 will be back no sooner than my computer.

Get new computer. Everything else works towards that goal i.e. trivial things like passing M.Eng. final or passing D.Eng. entry.

Difference? Linux is free, Windows is not... theoretically. Linux is hard to learn, Windows is not... theoretically. Linux is mostly incompatible right now with many usefull applications and drivers (You have to write them Yourself ), Windows is... theoretically. Linux is for little fat men with thick glasses, who haven't seen the sunlight since they were born, Windows is for idiots... all theoretically.

That list is... very bad. Sure, there are some great titles, but the most groundbreaking are not there or are in some strange places (UFO, Half-Life, Quake, Doom, etc.). I wouldnt call that list 'top100ofalltimes' so carelessly.

Depends. If its hard-coded and there is no in-game-menu option, then You will have to keep throwing up.Otherwise there should be some crappy file called config(or something to this idea).cfg or ini. Look inside and have fun. I have edited few games this way.

Well, i HAVE heard commercials, that BF2 is "the realistic combat simulator"...As for the rest, You are right, the fact that You respawn gives You another chance, but that doesnt mean that this situation should not be treated seperate from reality. Here is my point: Normal, thinking (?????????????????????????????) beings put in tight situation would start solving the problem and not cry 'lame' and wait for some 3rd power (whether it be admin or mommy) to solve it for them.

Doc -> FYI i have played BF2 (for about an hour) and was base-camped (Gulf of Oman is uncappable i believe). Thats the reality of warfare. Disruption of enemy movements and reinforecements 'for teh win'. Sportsmanship in battle is an extinct thought from 500+ years ago. You kill or You die. Its THAT simple.

That 'bug' is, i must say, the spark of realism in the game (it appears to be). Not always One can be sure, that there is actually enemy in front of Him. Dissinformation is powerfull weapon.

That video is VERY FUNNY!!! Especially the music gives it the comedy edge. As far as bunny hopping or prone jumping.... its the same as was with most 'exploits' in FA. They are part of the physics of the game. It may have not been the programmers intention to do that and as such, until programmer fixes this, the fact remains. And for 'lame against lame' sentence... its not the first time i have encountered words, that nade launcher in CQB is 'frowned upon'.... which is strange to me, becouse even IF the game doesnt entirely simulate real world, its all about combat and warfare. And if i were on the battlefield, i would do EVERYTHING to SURVIVE and KILL those, that threaten my existence. Basic behaviourism. Face it, war is about killing and winning, not about fair play. The losing side, cant even voice their complaints - they're all dead so the truth is on the victor's side. That would be embarrasing, if in the last spark of dying thought, One would think that the other side exploited/cheated. If You play warfare, treat it like warfare.
