Super neat. So what all did you end up buying. I wasn't thinking about the stuff that I already have. I have some spare parts that I could use too. I want to build my niece a computer. I've got ram, an old video card, and optical drive, I even have an old 3GHz P4. This could be a really cheap upgrade. I'll give my nephew all the newer good parts and the niece the older stuff. This could work out very well. The hard part will be convincing the wife, I bought a laptop yesterday. I got it out here at work, for out here at work, just to fiddle around with. It was $500 at bestbuy, it was a little more than I really wanted to spend but its not horrible. Its not a gaming machine by any means, but it'll surf the web and do spread sheets. If it breaks it won't be the end of the world either. :cool:

I don't think a second instance of ETQW is warranted. I had three weeks to fill this server and it only got completely full about dozen times. If we get more clan members playing and keep at least one server full at least 4 hours a day, then yes I'll think about giving the go ahead for a second server but until that time comes we shouldn't waste the resources. Some one get the stuff together to put up a TF2 server. Taco can run the server he's the main player. They've recently added new content and maps. If we can get one of these servers running we could have lots of new blood. The game is fast paced and very challenging, imo. It looks like a cartoon so I'm sure most of you won't like it. Give it a few weeks just to see. :cool:

When will you have it put together? I want to know how this computer games! $500 that rocks! I'm reading the article now. I'll wait until you get back with us before making any judgments. I may be giving either myself or my nephew this computer if its good one.

I like it!!! My ping is so low though, that people have told me they thought I was bot so they don't join the server. I'll be away from my computer for a few weeks, now that I'm back at work, so its up to you guys to keep this thing going!!!! Please help me, and the Armory. Thanks Matador. Just think if one member can do this in a little over three weeks what could we accomplish if we had a few more members' support! Think about it guys. I've met some really great people in this server.

Well I'm back at work people. I had a GREAT THREE WEEK run at home, I was in the server most every day all day. I had some luck starting up the servers, I didn't have much help, but I do most of my gaming during school and work hours so its understandable. The ranking has increased, and we're gathering a following. I've worked very hard to get this server started, I've sacraficed many a gaming hour to get some momentum going. I spent at least 5 hours a day in the server mon-fri, I made a dent in the popularity. I've seen some significant growth and the server is now the highest ranked of all of our active servers. I'm super psyched about it. Don't let all of our effort go down the drain! There are ../\.. clan members who are regulars on our server, and these guys have TWO of there own servers! We must be doing something right. I would appreciate your support of this server. I've sacraficed lots of time I could have been playing to get this momentum going. Let's see some others step up. Its not fun hanging out in an empty server but what do we have servers for if we don't use them? This server gets started pretty quickly when there's ~4 four people in it. I'm seeing the same regulars when ever I can get it started. People like the server smoothness and the friendly admins. They don't like the team stacking but what are you gonna do? I heard one complaint about spawn camping, but that was all. Its a part of the game that can't be avoided, its also a useful tactic when you are getting hit with arty and stuff. I do have some concerns about some laggyness, when the server stays full for a few hours some jerkyness developes and I begin to hear complaints about it, and a few people have even left because of it. I don't know what to do about it so maybe someone else can shed some light on the issue.

I've seen my frame rate go as high as 800! I want to put the 60 cap on it, sometimes the spikes make the game play weird. I wonder what the problem is.

It takes 6 people to start a game and it fills up fairly quickly, most of the time. Let's make this server the best ET server around!

What's the s_driver? What's the LagOMeter? Does your FPS cap work, I don't think mine does.

What game are we talking about?

Never heard of them. I know K&N, Mugen, King Motorsports, and others make this part. I wouldn't get it just because its cheap. You get what you pay for.
