That happened to me. I reloaded everything again and it worked. Steam is very weird. It has its own mind. I have had to re-install like 5 times in the past 2 weeks.

Guys, I have heard about Day of Defeat, and wanted to try it out. Does anyone know how to install DOD, steam, and FA so they all work?I tried but whenever I do DOD, it messes up my steam and HL.EXE file.When I install both DOD and FA, then I can not get HLSW to work (it gives me an error), but I can launch directly from steam okay.If you know of any good threads that explain this, please let me know.ThanksTrout

Silent,when you see someone do things like that, you can help by getting their name and their Won ID number (do this by typing "status" in the console).Then get evidence by taking screen shots (press the F5 key), and or gettting other players to back up waht you say. If other TA members are on line, let us know as they will usually back up things like this.That way we can take action, even if an admin is not present.ThanksTrout

Don't worry, all weapons in 2.7 will be allowed. If it is unbalanced, then we will let the F team correct it with a patch Have fun with it. Okay, thi sis the last post, and it will be closed. Knifes does not cheat, he is good, very skilled. Watch him play, copy his tactics and you will do well. He has good, no great hand-eye coordination, he is always moving, and can aim very well. He can be killed like others, you have to undersatnd his tatctics and adjust to fighting him. I watch, most people run in a traight line to attack him or just stop and stand still, that is stupid and will get you killed against any good player, consitently.Just becasue he has learned how to take advantage of LEGAL ways to play better, does not mean he cheats. Having better cross hairs helps, having graphics enhamncements helps, its all legal, within the game. Next, try focusing on NOT GETTING KILLED, instaed of killing people. If you focus on not getting killed, you will end up with better scores. Also, having a fast computer and connection is HUGE, as Unfor about the difference between DSL/Cable and dial up, his game has improved drastically with dial up. If commando ever got DSL, then you would be accusuing him of cheating as well since his scores would be outrageous.Bottom line, stop accusuing him of cheating becasue he is better than you. Take advantag of the game. Some people like to cap to get points, others like to just kill people. One thing for sure, don't go by the damn physco stats to see who s skilled and who is not. The physco stats are so overweighted on capping and play time. I mean, If I played for 4 days in a 2 week then I would be number one. Several of the people who are in the top have average or less than average fighting skills, they cap a ton, and log mega hours. I know who the real skill players are, based on how they fight. Knifes is skilled, leave it at that. If it bothers you to such a great extent that he is not banned, go elsewhere.As lon as he follows rules he will be allowed on ourt server, just like anyone else. If Rules are broken by him or anyone else (even TA members), then they will be banned.Now play and have fun! No more bitching about knifes. try and learn from him.

On the pold forums, someone posted a way to remove those annoying pop up messages from your computer. Can someone please re-post or tell me how to get rid of those annoying pop up adds!Also, I use MS ExplorerExpress as my email, and I am getting spammed unbeleivebly with junk mail. I even use block sender, but it keeps coming and coming. Any ideads or suggestions on how to stop the madness... without changing my email address?Thanks!!

Some people like other cross hairs because it is easier to see and aim. I have custom x-hairs that I think make it easier to find the other teams head. It is a big x with a dot in the middle. put the dot on the head, and fire = death.

Gator,I have had issues like this at work, and I know it is no fun. It saps the energy out of you and is down right sickening. Thanks for all the effort and for getting them back up. You da man! :mrgreen:
