EXACT same thing happened to me. I was wondering what is happening, and then it wouldnt burn CD's either. So we got a new burner on boxing day (Dec. 26th) and when I opened the computer up to put the new one in, the big fat cord in it was actually ripped in the middle. So, if you have say $40 Canadian lying around, this is a good investmenet to get a new one.

They don't put a second spinny thing on their for your amusement I can land better than fly/turn, thats not good. Just start an instant battle and fly around. You should get the hang of it over a few hours. I did. "Oh... so thats what that button does.... *boom* " then it says " [TAC]> WSAENOTSOCK is no more"
