  1. http://www.hidden-source.com/ One player is selected to be "The Hidden", a genetically altered human, while the rest of the players are special forces soldiers of a sort. "The Hidden" is invisible and can jump farther than the soldiers. Yet he only carries a knife and a couple of pipebombs. The soldiers have either a shotgun or smg and a pistol. The soldiers are tasked with eliminating "The Hidden", while "The Hidden" has to race against time to eliminate the soldiers. If time runs out, the soldiers win. "The Hidden" gives off a small shimmer, allowing you to see him if you look closely - though its tough when he is moving fast and jumping. (Kind of like the effect when its really hot and you can see the heat rising off the street.) It is a lot of fun. Working as a group over the microphone is awesome. Go download it. The mod is still in the beta stages, so don't be surprised if you find some bugs.
  2. What's this about dying?
  3. I remember we threw it on the map cycle a long time ago. I thought it was okay, just that the other team camped the briefcase heavily. They'd put claymores in and around the briefcase, making it pretty much impossible to get it without dying.

  5. Where is this FA2 website? If you mean WaW, then it's not FA2 at all.
  6. Well this should be interesting.
  7. I've recently started to collect old medals. My father brought back four Soviet Medals, most of them reissues (none the less collectors items). My grandmother gave me her father's British WWI medal, the 1914-1915 Star. Right now I'm looking into old Iron Crosses. Perhaps I will get a picture.
  8. There are several other servers people still play on, so FA won't die because we shut down our server.
  9. You have been unbanned. Next time we have trouble from you, do not come here asking for an unban.
  10. Your ban is being looked over. We should have a decision in a couple of days.
  11. If I am around, I'll play some FA. :peace:
  12. Welcome to the forums.
  13. I was going to say the same thing. I'd own G so much, we'd play Ricochet and then I'd own him some more. (By the way G, we should get a Ricochet scrimmage set up against another clan. FTOC > All Ricochet Clans.)
  14. The old, gray gameboys? I remember playing original mario on it. Still have it some where too.
  15. Can you verify this?
  16. Looks very cool.
  17. Same, except my friends and I are playing for a trophy.
  18. I have a ton of maps. I usually send large zipped folders over the yousentit.com thing.
  19. Welcome to the forums.
  20. Cool, welcome to the forums. I think you're the first New Zealander on the boards.
  21. Clermont is way too big. :peace:

This isn't an automatic ticket to membership, though. The Armory Clan Staff votes on each applicant after a two week review period that started the day you applied. The two weeks allows the Staff, as well as clan members, to see whether or not you are "TAC material". We look for players that will be active in the community, that display a friendly attitude, and that abide by our rules. Plain and simply, we look for guys, and gals, that are fun to play with. Edit: Looks like DH beat me to it.
  23. I have had squads like work like a team as well, but that is a rarity.
  24. I'd have to disagree. The commander plays a vital role in BF2, even in the poorest of conditions. He is able to spot enemy troop movements and display that on everyone's radar, allowing them to move to meet the threat before they can take points. The UAVs give you a heads up as to where the enemy is, may it be a sniper or an inbound tank. Dropping supplies on crucial tanks and squads helps them fight more efficiently. Artillery, well, we all know how powerful the artillery can be in a situation. The commander creates a more effective fighting force, allowing the common soldier and squad a better chance to kill the enemy before he kills you. The maps in BF2 are not linear as they are in FA, so you can not always gauge as to where the enemy is and what his intentions are.
  25. I've all but given up on ordering my squads to do stuff. Today I was playing commander and I saw an enemy soldier behind the bulk of my force about to take a point. There was a squad in the general vicinity, so I put a UAV over the enemy soldier and order the squad to move over there. What then happens? The squad jumps in a tank and moves in the opposite direction. The enemy took the points behind and annihilated my team. At the moment, I figure the commander is there only to provide UAV, the occasional artillery strike where not a single friendly player has the time to run into, and the rare requested supply drop. Not much else. The problem with BF2 is that it focuses more on rewarding the individual than the team. People play for themselves, or rather their rank and assorted medals. They don't play to win or do what is best for the team. It is all about who has the best score and the most kills, not whether you win the round or not. Individual performance needs to come second to how the team fares.
