Gator

I kept digging around and it looks to be false from what I read.

Here is the original post that dispelled the rumor (supposedly) http://www.totalbf2.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93091

True Klink, but the Beat is mighty fun ...I have to admit.

A picture says a thousand words. /monthly_06_2011/post-3-130810186923_thumb.gif

Wow, nice find Phrogg. I thought somehting was kinds fishy when I logged into the Beta, and it logged in fast. The good news is that BF2142 is a blast, and we will have many days of enjoyment playing it. We can still crank up a BF2 or SF server for a change of pace. EA and Gamespy/FilePlanet/IGN are a bunch of damn crooks, and mislead their followers. The reason the game has dropped off is because they gave us crap patches that got buggier as each released passed. I just hope this is not true, but I personally saw the wrting on the wall during the BF:Vietnam days where they left everyone hanging. It just doesn't suprise me anymore. The only thing consistant has been "us" staying together as a group. We shall overcome, we shall overcome.

I tried it it its not bad, so I will probably stop by sometime.

Statecop, its nice you finally have a game you stay playing more than a month. Glad your having fun with the wizards and leprechauns.

Bravo, I re-saved you .gif and made is as clear as the original. All sigs should be saved in .gif, so as to make the files smaller.

My three latest victims. Three kills in a row with my handy knife... lol /monthly_06_2011/post-3-130810186882_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-3-130810186893_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-3-130810186902_thumb.jpg

I've typed thousands of words over the past 4.6 years, so I am bound to make a mistake, but thanks. It has been corrected.

New game on the market due out in Fall 2006 Joint * Task * Force homepage here Download from File Planet here

They are using a Beta Authentication server (I think), and it will not let you log in with your "reserved" game name, so you have to create another "temp" name. I believe they will not let user keep their points as well, but I don't know for a fact.

I have no lag. Make sure your connection is set to "Cable" and not "T1" Also, be sure to play on the GER servers. The ones in the states suck and are laggy. It a shame we have to go to GEr to get good gaming.

Congrats DEFCON. I wish you all the success.

BF2142 has a buddy list built into the Main Menu of the game, so you can easily find where your friends are playing. I have added a new "Profile" field to the forum that will allow us to add our game nicks/names. Please feel free to add your name in this post, as well as in you Profile field. My game nick/name is GAT0R (the "0" is a zero) You can add your buddy name here (at the bottom) You can see an example of my name here

The jury is out on deliberation, but I can tell you that I had a fun time playing it, and look forward to some more action. I think most folks will enjoy the game, but I wouldn't throw my copy of BF2 out of the window just yet. It is very cool though.

Looks cool. Maybe someone could make a nice sig our of those pics ... lol

Yes, I had a blast. I also had 2 stabbing victims in a row (very rare for Gator anyway), and it was brutal (on my part). I got 2 sets of dog tags added to my collection. I also made 3 promotions (easy and fast to get) and got 3 unlocks. I chose the Squad Spawn Beacon. It is way cool, and when you spawn, a Spawnpod drops you in and the animation is awsome.

Sorry, but EA is Valve's publisher now

Nice family Bravo.

Nice find Bravo. I will keep my eyes open for it today.

Very cool Kywalker. Glad to see you are having fun.
