Make sure you have Direct X updated, and re-download/install the newest Nvidia drivers again anyway. Reboot and try again. That's what I did.

I'm going to say, compared to Fire-Arms, BF2 is like real life. Although compared to real-life BF2 is just a game. I like to turn it up loud, and move in squads and the carnage is 10X that of FA. I think FA is so outdated, it's hard to even know what's going on half the time because of the graphics.

I'm definately buying the game, no doubt about it. I just wish I could change the server time limit for the demo. I don't want to wait for the game.

I know it's so stupid. Technically we're not allowed to change the server name either.. Might as well keep everyone's names "Player" while we're at it.

I was thinking about it.. and EA could have made it much more difficult to find the unlocks if they wanted to. I think EA purposely made it simple so they could say, "This is why we are going to have ranked servers! So these hackers can't hinder the gameplay!". Damn them for doing this. 12 minutes isn't enough to do anything. It sucks so bad. I don't even want to play because it resets every 12 minutes.

I agree with you Finner. It seems to me the kevlar jackets and such they wear play a big role. There is a little menu in-game where you can see how much armor each class has and the damage each weapon does ect... I think it's something like, "BFHQ". I am very satisfied with the accuracy and damage of every weapon. I feel it is in the highest realism. It's nothing like FA, I have no idea why it was compared to that. FA is a poorly modded game in a poorly outdated game. BF2 is a beast. There's no doubt about it. I'm excited just thinking about playing it, it's so beast.

The aiming system feels like it has a 'Grid-like' feel. I can't move little spaces, I can only move squares. I don't know if that's easy to understand, but it makes sniping accurately difficult. (But not impossible.)

The demo BF2 server is up. Just search for The Armory in the filter. As for a BF2 server, it will more than likely be up as-soon-as BF2 is released.

I think what it comes down to, the chat feature isn't essential to play. You don't HAVE to chat at all, nor use the microphone. Complaining about words on the filter really holds no dice, because the in-game voice commands are enough to play. If the admin tells you not to say, "I" or "Bomb" then don't say those words, if the admin is at fault we will find out about it. It does no good argueing on the server. The server is for playing, it's not a chat room. (Contrary to popular belief.)

I actually single-handedly created the game so I'm already playing it, and posting on my laptop I coded into the abrams with my super-awesome WIFI connection. Man I am just too leet.
