There is unrest in the Galaxy... I noticed some folks think I am Kywalker. Well... no. To prove those close-minded rebels wrong, I gathered some well known facts about both of us. How about "Steam temporarily unavailable". I just got that message 5 minutes ago - after 99% of the update has been completed! To make things funnier, I already updated Steam about 8 hours before that.And earlier in the day, the update would come to 99% then start over. After doing so 3 times (!) it would say ... "Steam temporarily unavailable. Please try again later"!!! Fortunately, Statecop's solution worked (thanks, man).I went out for only a few hours, now I come back and it's a mess again.Don't you just "love" Steam?

How would you rate ROTK compared to The Two Towers, guys? I liked The Fellowship Of The Ring, but in my opinion TTT was way worse. I'm still having bad dreams with elves surfing on tower shields. :shock: And since we're at it, how about The Matrix? Here's what I think:M1 - was awesome! M2 - SUCKED!!! I recall tfen12 being involved in this, and Azirafal confirmed that, when I asked him just to be sure. Although, knowing tfen-the-prankster, it might all have been a joke or something, hell if I know. Still, I hope the rules will stay the way they are (or are supposed to), and Spawn arty will not be tolerated, even if TA members use it. Was I too harsh here? I hope not. And tfen - no offence, dude.

I don't like to complain about FireArms outside the game, but this is one issue that bothers me. As far as I remember the major rule of TA is NO MARKERS IN SPAWN. And in general everyone goes by this rule, so it's fine. But it's been several times already that on sd_force a red marker was placed in the Blue Team's spawn. As far as spawn limits are concerned, I think everyone will agree on this - if you're hit (or killed) when you spawn, that means the marker is IN THE SPAWN. To illustrate this I prepared the Blue Courtyard overview. A red dot with the circle around it is one of the Blue spawn points. The crudely drawn letter A symbolizes the red marker. From my own experience, when a Blue Team member spawns in that point and the red artillery strikes, the poor grunt is left with no body armor and 30 HP at most. That is if he starts with heavy armor, as I did. I think, some people, using med and light armor have been killed in that fashion. A lot of times, I hear the Red Team say "No, it's not in your spawn", but I think they are referring to the marker placed in another spot - letter B on the picture. That spot is crucial (it guards the only exit from spawn), but it is legal, as artillery requested upon that marker could never hit a spawning Blue. I can only hope the Red Team confuses those two spots, because otherwise they are breaking the rules, since the artillery from the A-marker DOES HIT the Blue Team's spawn point. And another thing - I haven't noticed the TA admins or members taking action to stop that practice. I wish I could say no TA member was on the server, when those events took place, but I can't. I don't want to point fingers or make scenes, don't get me wrong. It's just that I'd be happy if someone (preferably a Senior Counsel member or an admin) clarified those things to me once and for all. Because if it's allowed, then there's no point in me getting as angry over it, as I am now or spoiling everyone else's gameplay by my endless whining about it. It just so happens that I read about the spam contest deadline TODAY. Maybe it's a little silly of me to say "Welcome, Phil!" (which I do nevertheless:)) as I am not in TA, and my forum membership is pretty short, but there's a remark I'd like to share. As all of you well know, most of our activities on this server involve high velocity aimed projectiles and explosive material. On the forums, however, there's more of a "human touch" (as "The Boss" would say, lol). No community based on self-extermination thrives (that would be a little too absurd, I guess), so it's really cool to see all these people from around the world sharing... whatever it is we share here. So from welcoming Phil (yes, I remember, it's kinda dumb of me to boss around someone else's place) I'd like to turn to something Phil also mentioned in his post. In my own Half-Life mod based communities and such, I give TA the highest possible grades. It's fun to get to know you all (or at least some of this huge clan) and all the funky non-members, as well. And I want to say that personally I feel welcome here. Keeping an atmosphere like that online is not an easy task. So good job TA+community.OK, now please buy all those products I'm selling

Or maybe you have your CD on? I never had any problems with that though, up to the point of the most recent Steam update - it took me like 3 crashes to figure out what was going on.

Yeah, just now. It keeps asking for my password, says the password is wrong (but it's not) and then says it can't connect to the steam network - and asks to check out www.steampowered.com, but there's nothing there that would explain this weird situation. Oh, well, way to go, Valve Software!

I honestly don't know what's gotten into Kywalker or what this fuss is all about. It's probably a misunderstanding gone from wrong to even worse, or something like that.
