14" to 16" of Armor was around the Battle Bridge. The USS Mass had 5.5 " of deck armor. This was on the second deck. You could feel the difference when you were walking on it. Around the barbettes were 9" to protect the magazines and guns from shells. The front of the turret faces were 18" on the 16" Gun turrets. The 5" guns on the otherhand were paper thin. LOL Here are some damage shots. The plate on display is cut away from the area I photgraphed. The shell came through and hit the deck armor exploding and sending the fragments around to the areas painted in red. The deck that Ben is standing on is the deck armor. It is red as well. The shell barely dented the deck armor and was not worth photgraphing. It was all in red anyway and w/o contrast. You would not be able to tell the damage anyway. The shell hit just to the right of Bens feet next to the cot pic. Ben has pink eye too by the way. Yes I agree Smash. It is the worst cup for this imho. I play soccer still at age 41 and have since I was 6 years old. It is a disgrace for the world to see such unprofessionalism on both sides of the ball. Players and Ref's. However. The refs were sort of instructed by FIFA to be more diligent with their calls. The players are acting like they just got shot by a .44 magnum at close range. Yes stuff hurts. I tore my ACL in both knees playing soccer. Sure it hurts but these guys act like 6year olds getting a bee sting when they get a slight brush against their skin from an opposing player. Embelishment. Yes. Told to do it. Yes. Fair. No.

What is Planetside? Besides a PC game.
