It is a fun game and worth it.

The thing that some of this stuff does is sort of like cookies and Internet site files. The next time you go there. You get in quicker. Some are needed and some are not. It certainly would not hurt anything by deleting them.

A while back the guy from PC gamer magazine played FA on the TA server. He was a fan of FA and played there a couple of times. I played with a bunch of the FA designers as we all have. You just did not know b/c of their screen names.

It is from Crucial and they are very reputable. I got one of each just for fun. I have the 9800Pro already and it does BF2 Very well. Not as good as a 7800GT but it is very good on medium settings with lighting on low. They come with all stuff needed. They have been tested and anyone should be good to go if they do not have much money. Sure you can get a 6600GT but you know what? A 9800 Pro is almost as fast as a 6600GT and faster in some games. I ran it and played. It does look pretty good. Way better than FA that is for sure. However you cannot remap the keys and defaults are WSAD so I will play when they get a little more function in the game. It is pretty much a Modern DOD:S in Cities with Non-Linear Capping and tactical points. Looks like it could be good.

It turns red when the MIC is distorting or oversaturated. You need to move the mic away from your Mouth till it stops turning red when you talk.

Ah He wants new memory. Have him run the cpuid I posted above and either you or him have it posted here. We need to know this stuff b/c he may have and old socket 423 P4 with Sdram or a newer P4 with either: Rdram, DDR, or DDR2.

To be certain. If his system was running that is. He probably needs memory and wants 256mb or system Ram. Since it is a P4 we know they run in dual channel for the most part. Either Rdram or DDR. So to get 256mb of ram 2 stsicks would need to be used. What type of P4 and chipset is a different story. That is where CPIUD comes in to play. It can tell you what the FSB is and what memory is in the computer already. If he has Rdram as a friend of mine does. it's gonna cost ya like $115 for 256mb(128x2) and that is on www.ebay.com. That is for 1066mhz rdram. 800mhz can be found on www.newegg.com. If he has DDR and DDR2 then he is better off and memory is less expensive but still needs to be matched if there is already memory in the computer.

A lot of servers set the sound quality way down to save Bandwidth. We have ours at 4. 5 is the highest quality. I don't think it has something to do with it but check to be sure the Icon in the game list is in front of the server that says the server has this feature enabled.
