Katrina Poem
It's a good poem, but I've never been a fan of free verse. I still prefer the good, old iambic pentameter. That being said, your diction is good, and it helps to convey the images of loss and turmoil well.

IQ Scores!!
135. Visionary Philosopher. This means you are highly intelligent and have a powerful mix of skills and insight that can be applied in a variety of different ways. :o "This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others." Wonder how accurate it was for the first guy. Or, if we have a bunch of idiots taking it, I might be dumber, or if a bunch of geniuses are taking it, I might be smarter. Hard to tell.

Omg Its Sneaky!
I agree... with Nadril. :peace: But yeah, that picture only shows us that you're white with brown hair, so it's not any good. At this point, you look like 22% of the people I see every day. Need more detail. =X P.S. This should also be in the images forum. :peace:

New Orleans & Gulf Coast
You're absolutely right, Sock. Up to that point, most people didn't see a need to build levees that could withstand category 5 hurricanes. The chances of a category 5 hitting were so remote, most thought that it would be unnecessary to build anything that strong. "Hind-sight is 20-20." We can all look back and say, "We should've done this and we should've done that." And if we really learned our lesson, we should build everything to withstand category 5 hurricanes and earthquakes with magnitudes of 9. But is that really going to happen? We could, but then everyone will call it a waste, until something big hits. In the end, you can never win against nay-sayers.

The Hidden, An HL2 Mod
I'd like to slap anyone that pronounces it as "earl." Most people will look at you as if you were stupid if you use the term "earl" while talking about computers. And we musn't forget about the acronym ERL. I should say we should avoid confusing people.

New Orleans & Gulf Coast
I have family that lives in Kenner, which is a suburb right outside New Orleans. Thankfully, they left in time and are safe, but their homes are now under water.

PSP movies probably don't have to be high resolution either, so I doubt the movies would be over 1 gig. Movie files that are more than 1 gig in size are usually seen at DVD quality and at higher resolutions. I could be wrong though.

3hr time limit on MMORPGS in china
This is just another example of government encroaching on people's rights. The whole idea of this is to limit you from doing things that are bad for you. You can take the same idea and limit how much tobacco you smoke, how much fat food you eat, how much caffeine you drink (all things that are harmful to the body). It all sounds absurd, but when you give someone an inch, they ask for a mile. Even here in the US, we have such laws (mandatory wearing of seatbelts). The argument is that it's for your own safety, but by that same token, why not make helmets and other safety gear mandatory when you drive? Sounds silly, but so is forcing people to wear seatbelts. Honestly, if people are foolish enough to die from playing video games, why force others who are able to manage their time wisely to suffer?

Interesting, light that is faster then light
Yeah, sciences aren't taught too well in our high schools. In an effort to have higher passing rates, many of the important courses have been "dumbed down." That being said, there are still schools out there that can give a solid education in chemistry and such. Also, most public universities give base courses in chemistry on the assumption that the person has never taken the subject before. Although they hope for students that have prior knowledge in the subject, the first and second year chemistry courses are a joke and can easily be passed by someone who has almost no knowledge of chemistry. I wouldn't find it hard to believe that the Polish gal you mentioned would be able to bypass the first two courses. I was able to skip past the first chem course, and that's because I retained some of the things I learned in 10th grade chem class (which my teacher happened to botch; she was a month behind in the material she was supposed to teach by the time the year ended). Yay for science.

Interesting, light that is faster then light
I love you too, Finner. I wasn't trying to insult. As a moderator, I was just trying to insure that you would communicate clearly to avoid any confusion and such. Just because this is a gamers' forum, it still doesn't change the fact that, without punctuation, technical sentences can become confusing. I for one could understand what you said, but I had to read that phrase a few times to make sense of it. That being said, please continue to argue over light, in a clear and concise manner, because I find this topic interesting. :peace:

Interesting, light that is faster then light
if that really is just one sentence, then I took basic grammar for granted. Grammar and syntax are important, and that includes punctuation. If you fail at communicating your ideas properly, it doesn't matter how much you know because no one will understand you.

can you put up the top 10 for most posts per day ?
Yeah, having a top 10 will only promote more useless posts.

You are correct, K2. I might have to go around deleting sigs from posts.
