I love the new patch. Nothing works anymore. I cant play BF2 and i cant play BF2-SF. I have the same problems with the new patch, like i had, with the old one. Thanks EA.

I have the addon, believe me. Maybe like Klink said, some Stores in Europe have the possibility to release it earlier. On the 17th i had the game at my home. Two of the single player maps look very cool. Its fun to hunt the enemy as a SAS in the night, with nightvision. There are also some servers for the addon around, but i couldn't play on them, because the pc at my girlfriends home is the only one where the game runs well, but we have only a dial up connection there. And like i said, at my home's main pc, i have the installation error.

After i needed weeks to install the BF2 1.3 Patch, i tried to install the addon yesterday. Error Message: "Installation of Patch was not sucessful" I have the same problems installing the addon, like i had, installing the 1.3 Patch. I think i need some more weeks to install the addon. At some other pc the installation worked very well.

Hm, this reminds me, that i have had some trouble lately with the CD Key also...

Perhaps no one is on the Armory Server, but there are many many other DoD Source Servers running..

FINALLY IT RUNS AGAIN. I have found the solution for the problem on a german forum site. Still i couldnt install the patch the normal way. After i have installed the patch manually, i have had the CD Key Error. But the solution i found out, last night was the following: Execute the file "Battlefield 2_code.exe" in the BF2 Support folder. Put in the new CD Code. ok, so far i have tried that many times, but it hasnt worked. Now i have done that: Start the the file "BF2CDKeyCheck.exe" in the main BF2 folder. AND FINALLY IT WORKS !!! At least for now. By the end of this month, i have some time left, to buy a new system with the latest and best high end gaming hardware, thats available (at the moment i have only a ati 9800xt). And i hope i can install the game and the patch the normal way. For now, all i need is TIME to play that game, but there is not much time left at the moment. I would love to kill the strange people with the ( =A= ) before their names..

Install, reinstall, reboot, repatch, install, reinstall, repatch God, i love EA and DICE so much.. I have better things to do in life as that.. I have downloaded the patch from different locations and tried to install it. It doesnt worked. I will try to install first the patch 1.02 and then the patch 1.03. Perhaps i should get the hammer first..

lol guys i have done that in the past days (beside moving, living and such things): Fresh install of windows xp = all ok Fresh install of drivers i needed for my hardware = all ok Fresh install of BF2 = all ok Fresh install of Patch 1.3 = not ok The normal patch doesnt worked, i installed the patch the manual way (found this way on a forum site, dont know where). The game starts now, but there is a message comming up: Incorrect Serial Number. With the help of Gator, i inserted the CD Key again (Battlefield 2_code.exe). But it doesnt work.

Is the server still operational ? I cant find him.

I have decided to do a complete new install of WIN XP Prof. Its running right know. Had some problems to find the RAID Drivers, but after some search i found them. Hopefully all goes well. After all updates are made, i will install BF2 again. If it doesnt work, i will buy a new system next month.

Thanks for the help and the good wishes. I will check it one by one, as soon i have time. I hope it will solve the problem, because i really like the game.

:o After i spend over 7 hours to install the new patch proberly, i know have starting problems. After i want to start the game, there is following error comming up: Error in Application.. The Application couldnt be initialize proberly (0xc0000005). Klick ok to end the application. I really have no time to look again hours for hours trough some forums or installing the game again and again, until it works for a while. At least i can play the game at my girlfriends home, but not on the Armory Server, because she has only a slow internet connection and the ping is too high. Perhaps i am too old for this.

Thanks for the help Mac. I have already done that, but it hasnt worked. Some minutes ago, i have found the solution on a german forum site: Start the patch again (already must have done the patch once) Choose language If the "welcome" window appears, wait and do nothing open run and type in %temp%, press enter There is a new folder at the end, like {03a9.................. there is a second folder in there open it file BF2CDKeyCheck.exe start the file cancel patch AND NOW: IT WORKS :o
