any chance of the armory putting up a server for a night or two for old times sake?

if you boost the kbs you loose the higher number of supported people on your connection... there is a calulator out there for it on standard cable you can only support like 10 listeners at 96kbs, but i also had other peopel mirroring my station so i could spread faster.

i use to run a station on shout cast, 500 listeners a day...... then i ran out of time. but the play list lasted for 7 days. If you need any help with anytihng or would like to let me DJ your station some time let me know by email or aim aim is always on like 24/7 so whatever you need

you can change your upload speeds i believe with cl_updaterate and cl_upspeedi dont know about the download speeds though, I can't find anything for that. There are windows settigns and router settings (depending on router) so you can designate a set speed at which that computer can go

the faster your uplaod speed the faster your ping is. having 1.5 megabit service or higher has great download speeds from servers but where you need your firing weapon to out race the other guys weapon is upload. the faster it gets to the server the better off you are. the cable companies fix their speeds or 'cap' especialy the upload speeds. they dont want people running servers so they keep them low

kywalker ill tell you right now, my previous post referred to the other posts that you have turned political, then when state or I don't say anything back you start saying stuff like I guess I win. Well no you didn't, its the fact that we can follow our rules and you push them past their limits sometimes. As for us saying things about America if you don't like us take your crap somewhere else. I do not care if you are an American. In this forum we make jokes, but every country, whether liked or not will be respected. If you don't agree with someone's prayers or religion get over yourself and keep it down. There is a reason we are a well respected community and that is because we control ourselves, deal with what we don't like, and respect others. I feel like a scratched CD or a broken record.
