We had hot weather in Alabama too. It was 98 with a heat index of 105. I had a excovater catch on fire on Interstate I-20, so I had to shut down west bound traffic and rerout it to US Hwy 78 form about 45 mins. About 10 mins. into the rerouting and about 150 yrds. in front of me a box delevery truck comes in to fast and flips over on its side and slides over on to the shoulder of the interstate,.(no injuries) All said and done I was wet all over and in need of alot of water. So I fell for you guys and gals that do not get weather like this all the time. All I could think about was that it is almost as hot as it was druing my time in Iraq during the first gulf war.
