plz unbann
From what I remember you were banned for racist comments or something along those lines. Unfortunately for me I don't have the screenshots anymore and the ban request was on the old boards. So oh well.

Good/Bad of 3.0
The sniper rifles should register better now. And the SSG is 100% accurate when you kneel :sorry: . It'd all be great if it didn't crash all the time though :-/

Firearms Mod Team?
Stupid conscience made me too slow to get it :-/ Anyway, it's kind of dumb you were banned Finner. I can sort of understand their train of thought behind that policy. It keeps all of the jackasses from asking for 3.0 links early over and over again, just so they can get it and distribute it early. But it is not like they don't know you, or don't know that you're a reliable person. How dumb :-/

Scout Models
Using enhanced/colored models/skins/sounds will result in a forfeit for your team as well as the probability of further disciplinary actions. Pretty much straight from the CAL rules. The rules also say you have to use default models, but it doesn't say the penalty for using models/skins/sounds that aren't enhanced/colored. So I guess they consider all nondefault models etc. to be enhanced/colored to avoid biased interpretations.

Feh. It blends into the background a little too much. Not much going on in it either

Excuse me for wanting a game to be better :-/

New HL2 Mod...SUCKS
Regardless of what you'd like to believe, eveything I said was true, and it did in fact lag, at least on the servers I played on. Maybe you'd like it more if everybody said it was great so the team wouldn't feel the need to fix anything and the game could stay just as bad as it is now. You can't use the beta excuse forever Ripper, and if people don't say why they didn't like it then it isn't going to get better. Unless I completely missed the point of betas and the reason why they are released is in fact so people can play a crappy version of a game and say, "It's great because it's a beta!" without offering real input. I still think it could be a perfectly fine mod, I just think it needs a lot of work.

New HL2 Mod...SUCKS
I kind of like the gameplay idea of capturing points and everything. But the quiet footsteps make you feel like you're floating around and all the original models are really ugly and there aren't any physics in the map. Also it's kind of dumb that you lose all your experience when you change classes and can never get it back. I also haven't seen much importance placed on the classes, except for using the sniper rifle, and this game doesn't really have much of a use for snipers as it is right now. There's also no stamina bar, your money isn't visible unless you're in the buy menu, the buy menu is ugly looking, and the movement in general feels kind of unnatural. The class and buy systems are underutilized and poorly implemented. I think it'd be better if they made it exactly like FireArms, but they probably won't. Not as bad as it could have been though.

Did you set the tiCrate or the ticKrate? Cause I think whichever one you set, it was supposed to be the other one. TicKrate is the number you're supposed to change. Most people say ticrate though, since that was the name for it in CS 1.6. EDIT: Just double checked. I'm almost positive it's the same. You can tell if tickrate is higher or not if you have net_graph 3 on. Next to "in" on the far right side there is a number. It hovers around what the server tickrate is and right now it's still staying around 33 for everybody on the server, which is what the default tickrate is. EDIT: And thank you for deciding to raise the tickrate :peace:

You can make them horizontal by putting them one after the other instead of hitting enter after you put an image line in. So it's: Instead of: And nothing's copyrighted on the internet. Except if it has the copyright symbol on it, and even then it usually isn't copyrighted. Even if it is copyrighted you can usually change it anyway.

Scout Models
You put models in: whatever@wherever.com\counter-strike source\cstrike\models\weapons You'll probably have to make the folders if they aren't there already. If you want to be CAL legal then you can rename the "models" folder to something else and then steam won't load those models. Then you can change it back after the match. Same with sounds and any other custom content. CSS is really convenient in that you don't actually replace the content, but if you have a directory pointing at custom content then CSS will load that content rather than the defaults. If it doesn't find anything, then it loads the defaults. (That's also the same model I use :0 )

Yeah, I most definitely very highly suggest we raise our tickrate. It's quite noticeably a great improvement. The ROF on some guns is definitely higher. Most noticeably on the AK and the MP5, especially on the MP5. It's insane at 100 tickrate . I also think you move faster and jump farther. It's all just as great as people say it is. And thank you for letting me test out your server, Scratchy. It was a very educational experience .

As far as I can tell, you won't have to change your rates if the ticrate is changed. It just means that you can set your rates higher and have it affect anything. cmdrate and updaterate apparently have no real affect if they're set higher than the server's ticrate. I've been looking stuff up for ticrates for the last hour or so and apparently the only downside to a higher ticrate is a higher server load. Noone's said anything about having to change rates or anything else. Also having a higher ticrate makes a very very very very very large improvement. I'll post some ip's for some 100 ticrate servers in a few minutes if anyone wants to test them out. Apparently guns shoot faster and you move faster in addition to having better hit registry.

Installing custom sounds
I just found out a little while ago how to put your own weapon sounds in the game, I think. First, go to your CSS folder, then open the sound folder, then make a folder called "weapons", then make a folder named after whatever gun you want to replace the sound of (such as "awp", or "ak47"). The folder has to use the same name of the gun as the console says in game when you kill someone with it, not the colloquial name. Then, in that folder with the weapon name, you put in whatever .wav file you want as the firing sound and rename the file as "ak47-1.wav", or whatever gun it is you're replacing. You don't put the ""'s in though, if that wasn't obvious. And that should be it. I used it to replace the regular ak47 with the FA ak47. I also replaced the awp with the M82 and the elites with the 1911. I think you can use any wave file as the firing sound, but I'm not sure. I just used FA sounds cause I liked them. You could have your M249 fire out Bjork music probably, but I haven't tested that. Also, if you want to change the unsilenced sound for the M4 and USP, you have to name the file m4a1_unsil-1.wav, m4a1-1 and usp-1 are for the silenced shots. I hope that made since and helped someone. If you want me to clarify then please post something. If you could explain how to do all that better then that'd be nice too. I'm pretty sure you could replace all the sounds that way, but I don't know what you'd have to name the folders and files and all that, so if anyone knows more about that, I'd like to hear it.

Something deeply disturbing
Yesterday I walked up to an enemy who was standing still and shot him 3 times at point blank range in the head with the desert eagle. None of the shots registered. Next round I did the exact same thing and got headshots on 3 different people. :-/

[Movie Release] Going Up
You used an original band so you automatically win with me It was very nicely put together. It didn't look like you were trying to put blingbling in the movie for the sake of having blingbling. It's also footage from actual scrims and matches and not pwning people in pubs, which is very nice, makes it more impressive and less like you're just stroking your own ego. The section with the dragunov in the end was a little lacking though. Not that you were doing bad or anything, but the shots just weren't as great looking as with the famas. Definitely one of the best FA movies I've seen, though.

Life vs Internet
Man, that's some excellent voice acting. Funny too. "I don't want it to be illegal, therefore it isn't. That's how it works."

Sin City
I thought it was pretty darn good too. Nice and ultraviolent All the stories take place in different chronological order than shown in the movie. So Elijah Wood is still alive because Marv's story wasn't completed in the time that the other story was taking place.
