2- It shows your crosshairs and models and textures and all of the customizable stuff. 3- Crosshairs will be compatible. Models that gain nomen in 3.0 won't be compatible with their 3.0 counterparts because they don't have the nomen reload animations with them. I think you can still use the old models, but when you reload with nomen, you won't see that you're reloading. I don't know much about binds though.

I think it looks really nice. I can't say much from not being able to use it firsthand though. I also kind of got the impression that you had to pay for it, but I might have just misread something. I think it'd be more fun to play it on your own demos to see how 1337 you scored, though. If nothing else I'm sure a great deal of effort went in to making that program and the person who made it definitely deserves some major recognition if it turns out to be as effective as it appears to be.

Well, assuming r1pp3R, riPPe3R, 12199312, Ripper, isn't blind, there may be a possibility that the scope only wiggles on some people's computers. I know of at least one other person who also said they had the problem and that they had the problem for a while now. I've also noticed that it was only on certain maps like Durandal, and that it usually happened in big areas, like looking over the bridge. Most people never mention it though, so that's why I think it may happen only on certain people's computers.

Welcome to FA . The wobbly crosshairs are just another bug in the game with no readily apparent answer, atleast from what I've heard from others who should know. If it wobbles it wobbles, if it doesn't it doesn't. I've never heard of anything to fix it.

The changes to 3.0 are kind of subtle. I mean, it'd be kind of boring to have a video of a guy spraying a wall with the famas in 2.9 and a guy spraying a wall with a famas in 3.0 so you can see the accuracy/recoil changes, and reloading isn't exactly new to anybody. 3.0 is definitely more interesting than the video may show, you just have to play it to tell the difference. This version is just harder to make a good promo for since there aren't any new guns or weapons or anything to really show off. If you took out the major new content in the revious release videos and just left the subtle changes, they'd all be pretty boring too. At any rate, 3.0 is a definite improvement over 2.9 in possibly every way, just to a subtle degree. At least I think it is anyway. I hope I'm not saying too much D:

How did you get it so skinny? I've been trying to make a crosshair like that but I always end up with really thick lines. Even when I turn spriteblend on and off.

Certain ports get banned by certain servers hosting torrent files. I forget why, something like too much traffic or something. 6881 is one of the default ports for torrents, so it gets used a lot. Somewhere in the settings for your client there should be an option to change the range of ports that your client uses. You'll just have to change the range to some place where the ports aren't blacklisted. The place where you got that torrent should say which ports they allow somewhere on their site. Also the port range only needs to be as large as how many torrents you use simultaneously. Like if you only download 6 things at once at the most then you only need to have a range of about 6 ports. Having open ports is just a kind of security issue. So the less ports you use the safer. If you don't care about security you could just set the range to ports 6881 - 8000 and almost be guaranteed to be allowed to download, but whatever.

I don't know. It seems like shorter time limits might encourage camping in a way, atleast for the defensive team. Like, with shorter timelimits campers will just have to camp for a shorter time. Also, on maps where the offensive team likes to camp, some jerks may just camp anyway and just end up losing the round faster because they sit in a corner while they're supposed to be getting hostages or whatever. Although now that I've spen the time to type all that I've decided that shorter timelimits mean I come back faster after I die and it just means that offensive teams have to attack and defensive teams have to defend more so I voted for shorter time limits anyway. :peace:

What you can't see in the photo of the Famas though is that it is now 10 stories tall. Had there been a person in that photo to show scale, he would only be as tall as the trigger.

We've actually been using the Other games section of Ventrilo to address the no voice issue. Also, I tried replacing the 2.5 player models with 2.9 player models and everyone was folded in half and slid on the ground, so I guess they aren't backwards compatable, for those who were curious.

I'll probably be playing 2.5 for most of Friday anyway. Since it seems like there are a lot of people interested in this, we could probably just designate Friday to play 2.5 instead of just at one specific time. Then every Friday after that. And then we'll replace all the servers with 2.5 bwahahahahahaha :twisted: , or maybe not :roll: .

Just FA, because it was free and paying for games automatically makes them not fun for me.
