After rediculously long boot load time, can you run anything without too long load time or lag ? You try setting "virtual memory" in "system"-"peformance" to minimum and maximum same at about 300mb ? Gonna need big swap file with little ram, that stays same to not further slow cpu down with windows constantly adjusting size of swap ? I'm using Honey's pc at her place, butt she's having a cat nap, otherwise I not allowed near pc, lol. ;-) I don't mind, she's my new addiction, lol. ;-) Her's is mere 400mhz p2 with 128 mb sdram and win98se. Needs tender loving care and permanent swap file of I'm trying 300mb for now. :-)

Exact same pc and net as you KLINKO ... any ideas anyone ? i started with max audio and video just to see and hear what possible of pc. since put back to default or medium I think. ideas ?

So with 0.5 hr to 10 pm est time BF2 match, i install it ... patch needs 2 hrs ... great ... now bfv not work , downloading patch again ... when it rains it pours, eh ? butt thanks for the idea ... a nice one ;-) just didn't work out for me with little knowledge of need for updating everything again taking mrga hrs. ;-) a wasted sat night off ... rrrr ... tried some bf2142 ... lasted awhile, then black screen pc lockup ... more frustrsation, lol... such is life for sure, and women with their dum tests sometimes ;-) do not test too early a flower trying to bloom, give it a chance to get strong enough to endure strife ;-)

Maybe you can addict him to something like FA ? lol ;-) Hope you do well with school, especially those last night crams before test ;-) As for TAC... well... lots going on ... much bigger ... harder to please all, all the time ... but plenty of effort from Gator and other originals plus lots of new ones helping out ... we have after the odd storm as can be expected, grown in to a larger caring mature community ... always learning ... helping others learn respect and rules, nicely ... shared a lot more then just games and pc, software, hardware, forums, help ... Well said. Thanks. Long ago it was a small group. The group has mushroomed ;-) This means more of this and that ;-) Harder to keep all happy. I've noticed that in local singles pof group lately. But the special ones keep at it and adding good food for thought to try to help. Be one of those. Be not the type that stands back at a party and thinks or says "this sucks". Do something to help others have fun and yourself in the process ;-) You sound good, don't take me wrong way ;-) As to lack of close friends where you are... could be a lot of reasons ofcourse ... maybe you show or express little they are interested in ... try for ones that have interest inb things you already do, or that you may find interesting after asking and showing interest in their interests .... it can be surprising ;-) A mind is like a parachute, works best the more it is open to all things and opinions of what is interesting, fun, whatever ;-) Sincerely, best wishes, Cam
