Hopefully it didn't take too much work, Gator, but that has got to go. Screws with my eyes too much; Not a big fan.

  9. If you reinstall bf2142 you will not loose all of your progress. You will loose it however, if you forget your user name and password. As far as the titan going black im not sure how to fix that, though I do believe that is a video issue try and mess around with the video settings and see. Hoped this helped fellow Iowan.

I like the new crawl Gator, however I do think the text needs to be displayed in a larger area, if possible. Just a suggestion.

I installed the toolbar and ran Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D 1.4 and didnt detect anything related to the toolbar, just an FYI. On another note its a great toolbar Gator. PS. When is the Armory toolbar going "green?"

IMO the BF2 Engine itsself is screwed up and needs a complete overhaul.
  18. The reason a NO-CD crack will not work is because the NO-CD crack has to modify the .exe that links everything related in the game plus, starts the game, and tells it where to go for the CD. Thus, modifying the .exe will cause Punkbuster to recognize this as a hack (because it is) and will not allow you to play/run the game.
  19. I drive a pine green 1997 Chrysler Concorde, complete with fake wood paneling. PS. Saborbun = Suburban
  20. I found this link in the ONE thread discussing this in the EA forums. http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=11300 That article discusts me because they're trying to justify the spyware existence and validity... This really burns my ass.
  21. What are they gaining by doing this though? Do they get a percentage of revenue's generated by this? Why? When I first heard about in-game advertising I thought it was going to be like a bilboard for Pepsi or something like that, pre-rendered or something like a rotating display between AMD and Intel bilboards something like that, and I thought that would be kind of neat, a shootout underneath a Mountian Dew billboard. Not sending anything over a "secure" connection so it can display a new age of pop-up advertisment.
  22. I don't like that at all. EA should take some heat over this, IMO games should have no place in advertising or more like the other way around advertising should have no place in games. I am extremely opposed to the manner in which they retrieve the data especially if this interferes with crucial components in gaming, namely ping, load times, and CTDs, people don't need any higher pings than already exists in the Battlefield genre. Also, load times are already horrendous, the last thing we as gamers need is to wait longer to load up only to have the game CTD. (load times include verification of client data) Which brings me to my next point, CTDs. The manner in which the data is retrieved is spyware in itself, and if this opens a gateway to more spyware the constant minimizing of BF 2142 will, I feel, only compound the problem. Ok, my rant is now over.
  23. Man Whore???? J/K nice rig.

But look at it this way, you can delete all that stuff and have a 64 meg flash drive to use.

I wish the game could distinguish between legitamate accidents and intentenal ramming and if it senses a ram, the targeted vehicle remains unscathed, and the rammer get a 100 point deduction for the first offense, second offense is 1000, and third is a permanent ban on the rammers CD key. That would end all the giant cruise missles flying around in the sky.
