My Dad is back from the Big Sand pit!!!!
You are opposed to pictures of Iraqi's waving at Helicopters flying by? Or the Sheep herder who lived next to the base? (They bought a lamb from him and made it the unit mascott, named it LUOFY The lamb, Military guys will get that joke ) Or pictures of the latrine about to explode... or 100+ soliders lined up as far as the eye can see all urinateing? (long bus ride) Theres nothing remotely offensive in any of the pictures.

My Dad is back from the Big Sand pit!!!!
He was with the 101st Airborne as an Apache pilot and Crew Cheif. He made it back ok, but 15 pounds lighter and a semi-permenant sunburn.I don't get it...all the REMFs (support personell  ) have KFC, Burger King, Taco bell, a mess hall that server 4 meals a day, a coffee shop and showers....while the actual combat troops sit in tents (or just a sleeping bag) in the middle of the desert and eat 2 MREs every day... There were like 4 showers, which consisted of buckets with shower-heads attached, and your toilet was a hole in the ground. WTF? They couldnt fly some good food 30 miles from where the REMFs are getting fat to help feed the combat troops (who all got the shits, one nearly died from dehydration).Grrrr....I don't even want to talk about the crappy equipment they got *cough* the M9 *cough*.

/me puts on the band historian hat Nope... KMFDM = Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mitleid Your meaning is one from a contest they had called "1001 other meanings for KMFDM". Some other entrees were: Kiss My Fat Delicious Monkey Kill My Foaming Dog, Madam Klingons Marry Flighty Detroit Maidens Kennels Make Friendly Dogs Mean Killer Martians Fry Dumb Mortals The real meaning is a German expression, which loosely translated means "No Pity for the Majority". In case you didn't know, the band was started by some Germans, and an Englishman, and has had numerous other people from all over as guests at one time or another. They have since moved to Seattle. MDFMK was a side project a few of the Band members and some special guests did after 2 core members left to do thier own thing. MDFMK had one release, and the group was dead in the water for a little while. KMFDM reformed and released a single called "Boots", which is several covered remixes of Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots are made for walking". After that they released "ATTAK!", thier first full album in a few years. They just finished up the "Strum und Drang Tour" (which I went too ) and are now preparing to release another album called "WWIII". I can guarantee most everyone has heard at least one KMFDM song. Ever listen to the Mortal Kombat theme song?...yep, KMFDM.

I listen to independent label bands the most now, esepcially experimental electronic music, Industrial Dance, Darkwave, and Industrial Rock.Right now I'm listening to Covenant - Riot. Covenant is a good mix of danceable techno type beats and rock/pop lyrics. I really recommend the song "Bullet", and you can watch the music video Here. Awsome video, high-bandwidth though.Along the same lines as Covenant is VNV Nation, Assemblage 23 (more technoish), and Crocodile Shop (more rock). Then theres Hocico, which is a Gothic/Industrial Dance group out of Mexico. Similar to Hocico is Velvet Acid Christ (VAC) which is almost pure Darkwave techno, very club/dance oriented while Hocico is more concert oriented in thier music.KMFDM is great Industrial Rock, and practically started the Genre. Go download Megalomaniac, Anarchy, Light, or Juke-Joint Jezebell.Juno Reactor is great techno-oriented stuff. Some more:In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, Frontline Assembly, Dismantled, PIG, Project Pitchfork, Wumpscut, God Module, Zeromancer, Hajoubb, Funker Vogt, Wolfshiem, Informatik, Icon of Coil, Das Ich, Suicide Commando, Skinlab, Lollipop Lust Kill, Slick Idiot, Thrill Kill Kult...I could go on...Go! Download! Enjoy! Buy CDs!

I think he is upset because myself and State-Cop told him his Sig was too large, and asked him to remove the vulgarity from his signature. That and we apparently had a slight disagreement in another thread. You are still welcome here Dex, no one has asked you to leave.

I believe you fired a Desert Eagle, but much of your comments after that were either off or just plain silly. Like breaking your arms shooting it, or it killing everything for 3 miles. You may simply be misinformed, I just want to help you out.and what does "so far do's" mean?must be a English thing

Huh?and your sig is still huge.

Being a shooter and at-home gunsmith, claiming that allowing more guns causes crime is leading into an argument you don't wish to get into with me. The sarcastic (?) comment about 14 year olds in America buying Desert Eagles on play grounds isn't appreciated either.I really hope I've judged you wrong, but your posts are beginning to reek more and more of BS.Keep in mind there are a number of experienced shooters and Police officers who frequent these boards, it would be best not to talk about things you have little knowledge on.You sound like a younger person, so I'm going to assume this is all due to inexperience in online forums.

Please resize the picture in your sig, it's WAY too big. And instead of making multiple posts one after the other, just go back and edit it.I'm not sure a Desert Eagle is a good idea for a first pistol, but if you have the time and money, go for it.I was also under the impression that all handguns are now banned in England. Are there some exceptions I'm not aware of?And no...guns are not sold on playgrounds in the US. Desert Eagles especially, being some what rare here.In the US, you must be 21 years old to purchase a handgun from a dealer, and in most states there is a background check and a waiting period. The legal age to posses a handgun is 18.

It is quite possible thats an unaltered picture. Look how dark the room is that he is shooting in. As for it breaking your arms if fired wrong...Nah...I've fired handguns larger than .50AE and lived. I wouldent call the Desert Eagle in .50AE a pleasent gun to shoot, but it's not going to snap your arms off. If you have a poor grip the worst you'll come out with is a bruised palm and sore wrists.Given the option to buy one, I'd take the .357MAG or .44MAG. Ammo is MUCH easier to find, and the recoil is hardly noticiable with .357MAG.For defensive purposes, given that I really wanted to defend myself with a 10 inch 4.5 pound gun...I'd get the new XIX model in .440 Cor-Bon. .440 Cor-Bon is basically a .50AE round necked down to .44. You get much better performance without making the gun harder to handle.Heres a vid of a DE being fired.http://www.zvis.com/images/guns/video/dick1.mpg

I beat the snot out of that panzy Dragon.  Yeah...playing on public FA servers has lost it's "fun" for me too. I still like Getting on TA, stomping n00bs for an hour or so, but I just can't play as long as I used to. Matches are still fun, but only because the other players tend to be better.Meh...I've been playing DoD and The Specialists Mods lately. TS is really fun.

Another thread to inflate Okibi's ego
No, I'm pretty sure the 2nd Amendment doesent say you can walk around town with your AK-101...And bear arms = own them...not walk around all day with themNow, I do believe that the framers of the constitution knew full well that technology would advance when they wrote it, do you really think they would be THAT short sighted? The 2nd is there as a sort of final check against the Government becoming tyrannical...I seriously doubt this will ever happen (I hope not), but having an armed populace is a nice deterrent.Other than that, it's mostly just hunting, sport shooting, and the fax machine I blew up this morning http://www.flashbunny.org/content/outdated.html

Another thread to inflate Okibi's ego
Why do I need any other reason than sport or "protection"? And I consider putting up with ANY amount of injustice, wrong. Besides, I hardly think the tax stops many criminals, do you think they are going to go and PAY for they're guns? Or even Register them? No, my statement does NOT justify people owning tanks, nuclear, and chemical weapons, as it only applied to automatic firearms. You didn't just take my statement too far, you leaped way out there. You know good and well there is no real use for those kinds of things other than killing VERY large numbers of people (or as a detterent for doing so).The government has NO power other than to pass and enforce laws put in place by the people and thier elected officials...even though it doesent seem that way most of the time. Then once again, you take my statements too far. Nowhere did I say I supported handing out automatic weapons at street corners, or selling them to anyone who asks. I do support certain restrictions, such as background checks, and registration for full auto, I simply don't think thier production should be banned, or should there by a manditory tax. I was compareing the tax to basically punishing otherwise innocent people for something they havent done yet. Those leaders would have never been put in place had this Government functioned as it was supposed to, and I'm not going further into that.Once again, I never said I wanted them being sold to anyone, I simply disagreed with the production ban, and the tax. It is already illegal to rob banks, and brandish guns in public, that hasent stopped it from happening. What we need is better enforcement, not more laws. Which brings up another point, I'm also in favor of a national carry permit. Of course there will be an increase, as they are not being produced at the moment. That and not many can afford the $6000+ to get one. Those same stupid people can still do stupid things with a semi-auto, a shotgun, or a large truck. Registration will get rid of most of them, if that doesent stop them, hopefully law enforcement will. Yup, laws that can be enforced like the ones already in effect, such as registration and the laws regarding robbery and murder. I didn't rule it out as useless, I ruled it useless without proper enforcement. I know I always like a good debate.

Actually, you simply can't manufacture new magazines over 10 rounds after the ban took effect, you can still make guns that accept them. My gun was made in 1999, after the ban, it takes the new 10 round magazines, 20, 30, 40, 55, and 75 and 100 round drums.
