Christ, i can't belielve anyone actually believes that EA will release a game with out hyping it for a full year. There is no indication that they even have a completed engine ready for the game, let alone a stable build of a game that could be Battlefield 3. Chances are we'll know about battlefield 3 long before its ready, and probably take 9-15 months before its released. Even if they use frostbite and release a PC game, they'll have to fill it with content and test it, and that takes more time then most gamers believe.

cool. man i just started replaying it on hard. dear god they are dangerous. the first encounter was near impossible, but i somehow managed it with out dying. i'm still not sure how.

well, i am afraid of needles and bees. this game was like a marathon for me.

the 360 is the best console out there at the moment... at least in the next gen department. ps3 has nothing worth playing (at least nothing worth playing that deserves buying a ps3 for) and the wii is only good for groups of people. even zelda can't quite occupy the space of a bunch of single player games that 360 has. besides the point, bioshock is amazing. been playing it almost all day since i got it around 1.

i'd been using random names for years. such as garden_friendly, taco, death hawk, FIREMAN/POLICEMAN (joke with a buddy of mine while playing firearms), and more recently spriteisawsome (yes awesome is spelled wrong, everyone who joins a bnet game with me has to let me know that). i would have kept taco, but it was taken on a site i was registering for. so i went looking for a name, and just so happened was harry potter sitting on my computer desk. i cracked it open, and the first word that stood out was undertone. typed it in... and yeah, been using it ever since.

i'm now on my second ipod, and i haven't had a single issue with the battery (the first one's died i admit... but it only took a few days to replace and even then it was a couple years old, then when it finally died it was around 3 years old... not to mention my music collection was bigger then its HD). My new ipod has very good video play back so i have no clue what your talking about by not being impressed by the video play back... maybe the videos you're wife downloaded or what ever are low quality. no matter what you buy a low quality video won't look good. i watched gladiator on the way to montreal, and it was amazing. itunes isn't nearly as bad as windows media player, and you can end those extra processes that itunes has... so i don't really see why your complaining either. the ipod is a good product, no it's not the best, and yes its overpriced, but i trust the product because i've used it before and i've been nothing but pleased with it. it's not a terrible mp3, and its not a complete waste of cash. i wish people would take an objective view on something made by microsoft or apple for once. might actually push them to make better products.

...and? i recently did the same thing, but i figured i'd just to a comp stomp against like 3 or 4 computers. that was a huge mistake.

the key is learning how not to let it take up your time. i call them korean game slaves.

not sure if it works, but someone try forcing the DX level to 7... might look like Quake, but it COULD make it run better.

take lessons. ive been ****ing around on my own for almost 3 years now, and seriously, it would have helped if i had taken lessons.

thanks mr.d. i was gunna pop up with that info... but you beat me too it. yes prone and bipods are going to make it into the game eventually... but as already stated we need the animations. im sure issa could code them into the game in a flash, but that still gets us no where to making them ballenced and visually appropriate. hope to see some of you cats on the server.

yeah the change to F9 threw me off for a little while. had to change that beast back to F5.

you know you don't need a game made by EA when you have a game like insurgency. probably more bug free now then BF2 or any game based off that engine will ever be.

they never tested 32 players? shame. i played on a low pop server, and to be honest it just didn't feel as involved as the 32 player ones.

there is an interface for selecting squads/kits.... its just not the best system in the world. decently fun game, its a real nice break from FireArms to be honest. you can only fly at terminal velocity with guns for so long before you need to relax a little. i think the game needs a training level or something to set you up with everything and make sure you know what the hell your doing before ruining someone elses fun online.

im getting this based on graphics, and the mapping program they have. gameplay i dont know anything about, nor do i care.

yes as far as i can tell you need both, as CS doesnt contain some things that HL2 does, that we need. also, from what i can tell once we get our own animation set for the player models, such as prone, bipods, attachments, etc. we'll be able to run the mod with out CSS.
