hmmid uninstall CD and try playing on another server.

I was havin simmilar problems... it all ended when i downloaded the new version of CD. I dunno why. Shame was if i had known earlier i wouldnt have missed so much playing time.

As for vehicles in HL2....Who watched the preview video? It featurs a nifty little buggy with a weapon of some kind, dont remember exactly... Halo style. I believe we will see much use of that kind of thing in upcomming mods.

I agree with unwanted on this...Games for me are an escape. When I play, I want to be immersed in the atmosphere of the game. I want to think for just a little bit im not really just sitting at my desk playing games waiting around for some new complication in my life.That said... it's difficult to escape into a game in which the atmosphere is such that all people want to do is finish that quest so i can get this skill or buy this item or cast that spell to kill more stuff, so i can get more experience for more skills and get more items to kill more monsters to get more stuff. These people don't know they're playing a game, its just some meaningless item grab which in the end just gets boring. I mean come on... i dont believe Gandalf was concerned with killing orcs so he could gain experience for that new lightning attack, or finiding the best armor in all of middle earth.Just my opinion.That said... I am weary and shall depart for sleep. Good night.

yeah well, i got some new inspiration from a map called gitfest4 from svencoop. If you've ever played it... you know it features some insanely tall buildings. As for what im planning... you'll have to wait and see :wink:

I played a cs map with vehicles once... i remember someone driving their jeep through mine... and we both ended up being "killed by worldspawn". Of course the jeeps kept going, and running over other people... until they lodged inside a wall somewhere...Srry, the HL engine and vehicles seem to have some major creative differences...But... if you've ever played Halo...

Just wanted to say TA's been a great community... i know i can always get on the forums and ask for opinions or share a joke with you guys. Even if i dont make the clan, I'm certainly gonna stick around. Im sure TA will do well, regardless of whatever issues arise.

Valve Anti Cheat. I hear they've gotten it to catch lots of cheats... problem is it also catches lots of other stuff.
