I agree with you Gator, COD4 is a great game, but for me i like the team aspect of Battlefield. COD4 is a cool but there are several things that drive me nuts. One being the kill cam, although sometimes its nice to see where you were being shot from. I will continue to play both and enjoy playing with all of you guys no matter which game i am playing.

You can turn the killcam off.

COD4 offers many different flavours of gameplay.. taking elements from BF, CS, and the original COD..

 

Hardcore mode is awsome.. finally a mode where your shots are REALISTIC and you have to think about what you do before you do it.. i love it..

 

BUT alas, comparing BF2142 to COD4 is like trying to find similarities between chalk and cheese, totally pointless.. they are 2 different games, and thats the end of it. really.. Each has pros, and cons, in gameplay graphics, bullet registration etc, but at the end of the day its all down to personal taste, likes, how you like the gameplay etc etc..

Notice most of those who prefer BF over COD4 are the ones who talk in BF. Using VOIP in BF is a huge benefit because of the way it is designed, we have to think. They coulda made teamwork more important in COD4 with bigger maps and still kept it virtually the same, I just feel like theres no point to the game except killing or doing the same missions over and over.

Then try playing other game modes, COD4 didn't only ship with domination and the 5 maps we play. It seems like the people who say there isn't teamwork aren't trying to work as a team, or they are still getting used to the game. Once you get settled in and used to it, I'm sure you will have a better experience. I've actually noticed more people using VOIP as the days move on.

Gator has mentioned quite a few opinions on COD4 that I agree with. I enjoy the game alot, but, somehow it isn't all that it was hyped up to be. I enjoy the change of pace that COD4 gives me. My opinion is, this isn't the game of the future for our clan. We all thought it was going to be, but now that it's here, a lot of people have mixed views on it. Now, that doesn't mean we can't continue to play COD4 and BF series either. I love just playing with everyone in the clan and having a good time. So, my point is, I'll continue to play what games we as a clan decide to play.
