When playing COD4, what a good player number?

I think our current setting is great anything more than that is pushing it these are small maps. U put 64 players in a map size like this and ur going to get alot of unhappy people. Keep it at 24 also keeps it smooth like glass for gameplay

20 or 24, but not 22. 22 seems strange for some reason.

I've "temporarily" set the server to 32-players to see the playability at this setting.

 

Shotty brought up a good point that most of the popular (and populated)servers are running at 32-player mode.

 

I also ask you to note any choppiness experienced while playing in 32-player mode. Is 24-player, for example, a lot smoother. Bigger is not always better.

Also, this is a pre-poll to see how folks feel before and after we test different player configs.

24 players, 32 is just too much for these maps. It' gets too crowded.

I usually try to play on servers that run 24/26 people. Those two numbers just seem to make the game more enjoyable.

20, no more then 24. Maps are not big enough to support more then 24.

What Noobi said, these maps were meant for smaller numbers. I'd go for 20

Well i voted in terms of the normal server (when we get it): 32 players

 

I think for hardcore 24 is fine, but maybe i'm wrong, I'd have to try it with 32 players, but I can imagine that you woudl get killed from random angles all the time and it would get annoying

How about 10, and 9 of them sacrifice themselves on my knife? lol, I think I will just see what happens, I am for a smaller number (24) because I basically need fewer players to have a chance! Whatever the vote is, though, I support...

I voted for 24 - more than that it's too chaotic. these maps are much smaller than the bf series and you move a lot faster. i think 32 is too many. when i look at the kill cam sometimes, it's obvious that my killer was shooting at someone else and i just happened to be in the area or running across and i get nailed.

Below 24 - over 16.

For Hardcore mode 22...maybe 24 at the MAX.

 

BUT for the regular mode I like the bigger server (32 player)

ive seen the the bigger servers, and it kaos, no room for camping was a blast, bigger is better:eek: :thumbsup:

I like more people because people wont just keep camping but actually play
