My Chief from the college was in a serious car accident last night. Him and his wife were driving a Chrysler Sebring convertible when a drunk ran a stop sign at 50mph and hit him in the drivers side door. It threw both of them out of the car, and cut the car in half. He was laying under the trunk of the car. He has a broken pelvis, collapsed lung, broken ribs and a nasty gash on his head. They air lifted him out to the hospital. He was coming from a dinner we were having for the Skaneateles police department. The scary thing is, I was supposed to be in the back seat of the car! So, needless to say, I am thankful someone was watching out for me last night. I ended up working at the college an extra 1 1/2 hrs. so I couldn't go to the dinner. His wife walked away with some bruises and thats it. So, somewhere I have a guardian angel watching out for me.
I believe that there is a reason for things to happen the way they do and u staying at the college for that extra hour. Is not coincidence it was meant to be. You have a guardian angel that is watching over you. We all hope that your chief is ok.

Update: They took the breathing tube out, and he was screaming in pain for 2 hrs. they finally decided to give him an epidural, however it took them another 2 hrs. to give it to him. The epidural didnt work so, they had to intubate him again. They are going to leave him under heavy sedation until Sunday. The guy is in jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. http://blog.syracuse.com/news/2008/01/two_felonies_leveled_at_man_de.html

/sigh, I'm really sorry to hear about that Wolfey. My prayers are with your Chief. Thank God you weren't in the car!

2 Miracles

1 almost no one survives being thrown form a high speed car crash

2 The fact that the passenger walked away with minor injuries

well a 3rd would be the good karma that changed your time line and your guardian detained you.

At least they got the guy

I had someone batter ram me from behind a while back and he was able to get his Benz started and speed off.... Im sure he was blasted.

best of luck on the recovery

Glad to hear your ok wolfey!! And yes, we all have a part to play in life, that part you have to figure out yourself. The big man gave you a reason to figure out things. Thank God your chief is alright and his wife also.

Good example to not drink and drive people.

Just glad to hear we can all still play, chat and laugh together.

You'll see everything will come out A OK!!! :)

PREM.

Glad to Hear he's doing better, and also glad to hear the ol man up stairs decided not to punch your ticket, AMEN. :)

PS. you still have many missions to complete, yet. :)

You have a good "Karma" Wolfey!

And it's a great chance that your chief is alright and his wife also.

Egidio.

good karma is dharma.

I'm glad your okay wolfy

Update: He's not doing any better. They let him wake up Friday screaming in pain. They had to reintubate him and sedate him until today. They are taking the tube out today. Unfortunately I'm working a double again so I can't go up to see him. Not that I want to after he was screaming help me Friday. It was the most horrible thing I've ever had to watch. They made him wait for 3 hrs. before they put him back under sedation. I'm a nervous wreck. His wife ended up going back to the hospital because she has a cracked sternum. She is back out again. We are all getting together and seeing who is able to give him blood. He is bleeding internally, has something to do with his lung and all.
