Posted January 18, 200916 yr Just found out a little while ago http://www.circuitcity.com/closed.html
January 18, 200916 yr Yeah, I heard that too. I went there to buy a tv but the guy said he wouldn't be getting any 60"ers in anymore, so I walked out and bought mine on Amazon. This was yesterday. Maybe you guys can score some super deals on sound cards, video cards, or tvs!!!!
January 18, 200916 yr Well before they were only closing certian stores and were going to reorganize. But now they are closing them all. I went there today to check out the mayhem. There was hardly anywhere to park and each checkout had 20+ people in it.
January 18, 200916 yr I mean as much as I dislike circuit city as a store its too bad to see them go. At least they gave best buy (which also sucks) some competition. Rough times out there folks, best of luck to those who will be out of a job.
January 18, 200916 yr I believe there warranties is through a third party and they said that they will still honor the warranties........ Are Circuit City's extended warranties affected by the liquidation? * No. Circuit City Advantage Protection Plans? (extended warranties) have been backed by third-party independent companies for more than 15 years and as a result, are not impacted by Circuit City's closing. * Currently, all Circuit City Advantage Protection Plans are fully backed by the Assurant Solutions companies. Assurant Solutions operates as Federal Warranty Service Corporation, Sureway, Inc., and United Service Protection, Inc. Assurant Solutions is part of Assurant, Inc. (NYSE: AIZ), and its extended service contacts are backed by an Assurant insurance subsidiary rated A "Excellent" by A.M. Best Co.
January 18, 200916 yr just becareful, those warranties won't be honored on anything you buy now! Yes they will, and it is stated so on their site. They contracted with an independent company, and all warranties will be honored.
January 18, 200916 yr Author Just got back from there. Those prices are insane even at their sale prices Walmart and Best Buy prices beat them hands down.
January 19, 200916 yr Yeah I swung through there today and I was not impressed. The good items were tagged at 10% off, and the place was packed. So you may save 5 bucks but is it really worth hanging out for 20 minutes in line? I didn't see the point.
January 19, 200916 yr Yeah I heard about this a few days ago. Everything there was 10% off today, which was still horribly overpriced.
January 19, 200916 yr Yea it will take a few weeks of no one buying anything for them to start dropping the prices even more.
January 20, 200916 yr Yeah after looking at external hard drives there, I decided to look at them on newegg. I ended up ordering a 650gb drive for $89, free shipping. The best deal Circuit City had was a $99 (including the sale) 250gb drive.

If u have let me know so i can talk my mom into going over there and getting me some games and sending them to me . THE PREM. When i was there most of the games were already gone.
