BFBC2 Beta: Impressions?

So, I just wanted to get everybody's impressions about the beta and I didn't see a thread for this already.

My thoughts:

1. I can't say enough about the sound effect quality. The last couple of upgrades for my computer have been a good 5.1 speaker setup and some good headphones. They've done splendidly so far, but now I'm ecstatic about them. This game has the best sound effects of anything I've played. Simply awesome. I slap on my headphones and crank it up, and the immersion is unbelievable. I think that's what has made this game so good to me so far. The immersion level from the sound. Awesome.

2. As always, Dice rewards teamwork, which I really like.

3. No prone. At first I was skeptical, but now I really like it. It keeps the action flowing nicely.

4. Destroyable stuff. Absolutely great. This morning I was firing at a guy with my m249 and he ran behind a wooden fence. I almost squealed with glee as my mg ripped the fence apart and he was just crouched there, defenseless. Its awesome to be in a building and a wall gets blown up beside you, forcing you to get the hell out, too. It adds to the excitement for me.

5. A negative - maybe a bit too much bloom effect. Sometimes it's blinding.

6. This is really just a beta issue, but the lag is annoying right now. They've already said they're working on it, though, so its not a big deal. Anybody had that sticky key issue though? Where you just keep on moving in a direction even when you arent touching the keyboard? Yeah, thats a fun one :D

Overall - Awesome game. Can't wait to play it with you guys :D

so Far so good. Same Lag issue but its a beta! The destructible environment is way cool. I was on the hilltop sniping and watching trees fall as heavy tanks blasted their way through it was sweet. Still checking everything out. Has anyone been able to use Voice yet? also Q is supposed to bring up context menuing but I haven't seen it work yet.

I actually havent tried the voice yet.

Oh, I forgot though. The server browser and friends functions have major issues right now. Sometimes I wish UI's were more fully developed in betas :D

I like the destructible environments. I was on a rooftop sniping and our chopper got shot down and it ended up crashing into the side of the building I was sniping from. I saw the screen start to shake so I had to jump off the building while it was collapsing.

I will give it another try but my fist impression was a big let down. I like the sounds and even some of the visuals but I couldnt get past the lag. Also what is up with looking through the sniper rifle and it looking like a prism? I have looked through many scopes and never seen that......

I think what they were trying to do was imitate looking through a scope in cold weather, the frosty, foggy look. And I have seen that before.
