Whats with this DLC stuff now? Having to pay for new stuff? Never had to do it before so why are they doing it now?

just trying to make another buck, because if we have to pay for map packs..to play on servers....we will thats all there is too it. all im hoping is that they will be cheap seeing as there are so many players but only time will tell how many stick with it.

DLC i knew this was going to happen sooner or later with the Battlefield franchise. I have to say i'm not at all very happy about this i wonder how many players online will just say screw it when the first one comes out.

I predict a significant amount of people will just say screw it, and never get the new map packs. So, servers that run just the original maps will always be most popular. That isn't to say the Armory couldn't pull it off and have a popular DLC server.

 

It is going to suck to be in the server playing an original map only to change the map to a new DLC map and lose over half the server. We would probably just end up changing the map back to an original map anyway.

This first DLC pack is additional modes to existing maps. Not really new maps, just new modes.

 

Also, I *think* anyone who got the limited edition already has a VIP code so they should get this for free.

I think what will happen for the VIP map pack is that they will be in one of the automatic updates like the Day 1 map pack was.

I dont know if they did this or not but did Dice put in a system to prevent modding on BC2? I wonder if people will start doing that and then we wont have to buy new maps

I dunno but they did say that there would not be a modding tool.
