First game, first sniper kill on Gator !

Ah yes, the variety is nice in this engine. I tend to rotate my tasks around a bit to keep the boredom down. Try (key word being "try") flying for a bit, then drive around in a tank, man an AA gun. ect.....IQ... well, if it's a pub, don't expect to see alot of it.I think you are judging the game too harshly. You are expecting a finished type game from something that is still new... and you are expecting team play where there isn't gonna be... I can't vouch for the game quality down the line, but you do know your regulars on the TA server at least "try" to make an effort to work together.

Well it is not that hard to kill a tank with a helicopter, or a mine or any other explosives, try to hit it from behind. Shoot at it with a howitzer(love those things, kill a BMP in 1 shot). And the helicopter is easy to shoot down with some AA or that mobile AA gun, that eats your helicopter in like 5 sec. The best infantry weapon is the M82 it is hidden on some maps, like bocage day2 it can be found in iraki base near the sandbags where the hinds are.

I was wondering the same thing...actully I want any match with TA players...I have no way of getting in contact with anyone TA about DC unless by PM..

wow, i didnt know the DC team was actually trying for realism, if thats the case they are failing miserably on every level. DC is about as unrealistic as you can get. Last time I checked, you wont die if you jump from 5 feet off the ground, also, the At4 missle launcher can penetrate any armor out there so there is no reason why it should take 3 plus to kill a BMP which is vulnerable to small arms fire. Still, the game is growing on me. I discovered my calling as a spec ops operative making little bird gun runs, boy how i love those miniguns

lol man when its just me and a couple of people on the server...usually carl all we do is race and fly airplanes....we were racing dune buggies and then he runs into me...i blow up and i die he lives lol then we also just follow each other in airplanes and i have to say he is a really good pilot...he flew like 2 minutes upside down until a huge mountain popped up outta nowwhere but ya this game is really cool but for somereason i load games and stuff really slowly...it took me like 3 minutes just to get in game ahahah ehh once i upgrade my comp ill be set ahaha

For those bitching/complaing about how buggy DC is, and how it fails realism, then stop playing FA. It's 10x buggier than DC, and is 100x less realistic.

The game is a helluva lot more fun when the crew is on Ventrilo and you get almost a full server of TA guys :lol:Carl - Ungodly pilotGator - No slouch in the cockpit either, scary when he's got a helicopterSam - Good with Helis, loves to spawn camp with tanks :PNorm - Loves his artillery... will amuse himself by playing with guided missles the whole map.Me.... yeah teamspeak is pretty good, used in for Halo PC for a while.Carl: whoops my bad, its the SMAW not the At4 isnt it?Ive figured out why i suck at DC, its my name. So far, every time I play I always at the wrong spot at the wrong time. I seem to attract MiGs, missiles, snipers, artillery, and all sorts assorted ordnance. Its always some sort of unavoidable coincidence that the enemy shows up when I am most helpless (taking off in a plane or chopper, reloading, bailing out to switch planes, etc) from now on, I am switching my game tag from "Flak Magnet" to "Not a Target", that should help. Otherwise the thing in the game I'm even sort of good with is well, nothing, actually, I never live long enough to do anything. Still, the game is growing on me.

- We tried MIRC, but not to many used it. We have been using Ventrillo though.

 

- I like Ventrillo better because of the sound quality, and the feature that verbally announces who enters and leaves the voice server. Teamspeak does not have the same voice quality, and when a players enters...it just simply says "Player entering" (or something like that).

 

We will be opening a few public channels for TA friends & regulars soon.

I dont like IRC, its too complicated for it essentially is, a chat room.

But since i got tons of games for christmas..(5), they could just say i have enuff.Bah, im actin like a spoiled brat, myself, this Christmas. <=O

They don't over ride Ventrillo either...just go to "Setup" and increase your inbound volume. You can also adust you game sounds in FA and turn them down. I had no problems whatsoever and it overrides the game sound the other way
