Windows 8.1 Upgrade is Here!

Featured Replies

Still fixing the damage the update caused.  Found out my games we're running in 3d mode.  For some reason Windows 8.1 enabled stereoscopic 3d on my Nvidia control panel.  Internet explorer is displaying funny have to default to chrome until fixed.

I had the same issue with the NVIDIA card, so I uninstalled and reinstalled the current driver (not the Beta).  I also reinstalled my Logitech software.  Those were the only two issues I had.

IE11 runs great on 8.1.  If you are having issues, go to TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS > Advanced Tab > Reset (also reset "Restore Advanced Settings")

This is exactly why I never take anything from Microsoft before it's been out on the market for at least 3 months.

I saw your message and decided... it can wait. I've learned my lesson and once again they prove me right.

Update was only pulled for Windows RT, and it's back up. I've been using it for a few months and it works well for most things. I couldn't get Ghost Recon Online to work well, but I think it was because they never claimed Windows 8 support.

8.1 adds boot directly to desktop and a new start button (right click to bring up admin settings). For people into those kinds of things. :)
