How come whenever I suggested expanding TA to have Natural Selection or Day of Defeat they say that there never going to untill Firearms totally dies but then a couple months later they basically expand to Desert Combat?Is it me or are yopu contredicting yourself? (i think i spelled contredicting wrong)

Please know what you are talking about. How many times have we said "we arne't moving/expanding"? It is just a change of pace.

I really dont care what you do, as long as the FA server stays up.

I actually dont know why they are playing DC now.. I 'wasted' 50 bucks on it and all it does is lag, lag, and lag.Even in single player, with the graphics at the LOWEST point possible, the game is still slow. it just jumps every .30 seconds..I say its even kinda boring because it isnt fast enough..blargh

We are not expanding.This is a just for fun adventure.A few months back we did not have our own server.Now we do so we can put whatever game on whenever we want for as long as we want.We are only adding our tags in game to look like we are organized.What we are hoping is to get some DC / BF 1942 people to try FA.So it is not a contradiction.Things changed that let us become more flexible.Now we are the best FA and DC clan out there.Two servers. Two Mods. Great website and forums.All thanks to Gators hard work.Please let Gator know that he is appreciated.

The Armory has great servers for both games. I started to play Battlefield 1942/Desert Combat again because of the server. The server is not disconnecting me every 5min. , but it runs fine otherwise. Tank you, Tank you, and also tank you! O, and Thank you. I will have to say this is a very nice website.

Well, we are slowly moving in the direction of DC. Firearms is a fun game, but it is dying a slow slow death. Example: Today at 3:20 PM ESTTotal Servers: 63Occupied Servers: 15 (6 had fewer than 3 players)Total players: 150 WorldwideWith Desert Combat available, we at least have a alternative game to play for when FA is finally buried in the ground. By the looks of things, I think it is happening sooner than later. More news will follow with TA DC as time moves on. For now, like Mac says, we are learning it and having fun. Maybe one day we will be 100% Desert Combat, or even another mod if someone has a game as good with modern warfare.

You need to read the forums posts regarding teaks for your system, or speak to someone who can help you.

I did all the tweaks that was told to me. The overclocking the comp, since XP's default was 60, I changed it to 85, I turned the stuff that I didnt need OFF.I put the options for BF1942 to the LOWEST degree possible.. I dont see whats the problem. when im on a boat, it goes as slow as hell, when I tried typing stuff, I needed to wait atleast 5 seconds for the letters to show up or else I would get these different letters that I typed in which half didn't even show because of the slow game. the game Call of Duty works PERFECTLY, I dont know why BF1942 isnt. maybe its because of the huge arse maps and my comp cant handle it or something.. I doubt it.

I know this is prolly normal for everyone who plays but it takes me 10 minutes to load the map, and then when im in the game starting to play, it takes my computer another 10 minutes until the game gets smoothed out.. before that, its VERY slow for me, then after that, I get better.

Try the autoupdate from creative and download all that it pops up.

The only thing that can make me play DC is a new computer, i tried to dnload it and it would hav taken me 17 hours YAY (sarcasim)

Ripper are you trying to play with all the graphics eyecandy enabeled or disabeled? Did you do the refreshrate fix? You running in 16b or 32b? you have v-sync on or off? dithering and antialiasing on or off? lots of options can make a game crawl instead of run.

Some games TA needs to consider playing are Call of Duty, Battlefield 1942, Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction, WarCraf3 Frozen Throne. There are many cool games out there to play. The best thing about Half-Life it is bassically free.

my vsync is Off.I fixed my refreshrate already.My computer settings shows it at 16bit.The graphics in the game setting is all set to the lowest point, like I said before.Defragging takes about 3-4 hours so I might do it later..I still have no clue on which Sound Card update to get.I have a GeForce 4 MX 440,pentium 3,500mhz,

I have tried before with Rippers systemit is just too slow for this game I believe.The lag is not neccessarily form video.Turn off the sound and try "NO" sound online to see what that does.I believe Ripper has win 2000 right?It is a BX chipset motherboard.Just 4 years too old I think.The "NO" sound should give us a clue.mac
